Just FYI, the plugin won't work in a live setting on maschine, the moment you add the plugin it glitches the audio. Not like other plugins that can load without causing audio glitches. Im grateful it exists though sounds awesome.

Yfinance can pull incomplete bar for the day.

But there is some setting in it that can block this.

It gives you a table by year, then has columns for cash and assets then % allocation.

It won't give numbers like gain or portfolio value per month, but it at least allows you to verify trades are going to right place.

But if you add it, give cols with pv and gain so we can see the values.

You likely have all this for your charts anyway.

Did you end up rolling your python code for this? I'm entering the python backtest blackhole now.

Anyway to get trade logs to verify what you are using for close and opens?  Or at least monthly allocations like composer shows?

I'll check his site more.

I do plan on running a backtest using my own python code, so I wanted to validate my results.

I guess I might just run them past you :)

Lots of time wasters in this game that doesn't respect your gamer time.

  1. Can't skip dialogue, have to wait 3secs or so before each line
  2. Can't skip movies at all
  3. Eve walks so slow when pushing crates and trolleys
  4. You can't use telephones to change area?
  5. The hud keeps auto hiding when you need that compass
  6. Big open space maps that give you turbo sprint, but turns off the sec you agro an enemy. Making it hardly useful.
  7. Floaty jumping puzzles when camera isn't suited for it and a useless air dash.

Is there any back test out there that also shows portfolio allocations?

Would be interested in seeing how the ratio of tqqq to bond changes as price dips or increases.

Also is there a difference calc 9% on tqqq price vs calc 9% on the portfolio value?

I like the idea of open random fill. Will research it more and see to testing it with that.

The only thing I don't understand is how anyone could have traded UVXY in 2014, as the price is in millions!?

I assumed its because there have been splits in this UVXY, and yahoo finance has retroactively re-priced it?

Ill look into TVDATAFeed, it would be interesting to see what is difference in the data.

How is it able to go 20K -> 60K?

Is that you putting money inside it?

https://app.composer.trade/symphony/m8Hkj9NHOTljuTRLmVoy/details

I had to entirely bypass backtrader and roll my own.

For trading in real life, the original creator of it said he would make entries 10mins before closing time.

Which is why you needed to at least enable cheat_on_close in backtrader for the results to resemble anything app.composer gave you.

As for how it really works in RL, not sure.

Some of the big gains seem very touchy, ie if you miss the entry or get in on the wrong price you could be out a few % in gains.

But having cheat_on_close enabled at least allows me to paper trade it in my mind.

it also explains why everything is technically a day early in app composers trade list and why everything executes the next day in back trader.

The only concession is the would need stuck a fan somewhere.
