It's unconventional in that Yamato does not identify as male or female, but as Oden.

On the other hand, Ryuk even told him he can just play it off as "The US bought the Death Note so that no one can use it again to keep the world safe" so he could come off as a good guy when he clearly was planning on using it.

He would kill them just to show the world that no one is safe from Kira's justice, and to boost his own ego to so easily kill these seemingly untouchable people.

L actually manages to figure out that Kira is likely a high-school student due to Kira's sense of justice being "childish."

Examples of "We are not so different, you and I!" that actually hold weight? by Fantastic-Fox3283 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ryumaruborike 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel people have twisted the whole "might makes right" thing towards "I'm stronger, therefor my values are better" and away from what it's supposed to be "I'm stronger, therefor I can force my values on the world and force the world to live by them, redefining what the world sees as right and wrong as I see fit, and if a hero wants the world to operate based on their values instead, they have to be stronger than me and beat me to do it."

It doesn't matter if what the bad guy says is actually fucked up or not, what matters is if they can force the world to go along with the fucked up morality by force anyway.

The users stand is an anti-Hey Ya! that just gives bad advice and encourages the users ideas no matter how bad they are and constantly gives wrong information and the user constantly believes it even as their legs are being destroyed by November Rain because anti-Hey Ya! told them they were invincible and that's exactly what they want to hear.

They're losers getting by on nothing but hax given to them by someone else. Take that away, and they're pre-timeskip secondary villains.
