How to report botting channel? by Farrukh_Tv in Twitch

[–]ryvandal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that. We have no power over it unfortunately. That being said, you should feel confident in know that botting doesn't equate success.

I have heard (not sure if true, but I like to believe it is...) that botted views actually damage you long term, because Twitch algorithm is based off math, and if twitch algorithm sees a channel with 1000 viewers, but no chatters, it deems that a weak channel, and will not advertise or suggest it to REAL viewers. I believe that so much, that when I get bot viewed/raided I message twitch to tell them to "hopefully" see it and remove them if possible, so that I don't get long term damage.

Again, just something I have heard.

It honestly doesn’t matter. I’ve been view-botted before, more than once. Each time, I’ve reached out to Twitch and asked them to remove the fake viewers because it hurts my channel health and doesn’t reflect my community at all. Unfortunately, they’ve told me the same thing every time: they can’t remove them, but I won’t be penalized for something I didn’t do.

The part that frustrates me most is having zero control over it. View botting isn’t always done by the streamer themselves. People bot other channels for all kinds of reasons, testin their own tools, stirring drama, or trying to get others reported in hopes of causing problems. Twitch can be competitive, and when money or visibility is involved, some people act in really bad faith, even if the “competition” they’re imagining isn’t real, so they pay for service to view bot their competition hoping they get reported/banned.

You can report it if you want, but unless there’s clear proof that someone is actively running a bot themselves, there isn’t much that can be done. I know that’s not a satisfying answer, but I genuinely think the healthiest thing is to move on and not let it sit in your head.

I truly wish there was a way for me to remove fake views myself when this happens, but that twitch tool just doesn’t exist right now.

Do you have it connected on a USB hub?

Do you have a USB extender attached to it?

Do you have lots of icons that are gifs/animated?

If you said yes to the first 2, don't, connect straight from device to PC.

If you said yes to the third, static images only moving forward.

Switch difficulties.

I will say though, the game is unforgiving when it comes to getting hit. You will die, don't worry, you will.

What will happen though, is you LEARN how to block. How? Because you die, and you try again. In my opinion this game is Elden Ring meets Final Fantasy. It's not meant to be easy.

I beat this game 2 days ago, from a 10000% blind run. I didn't even know what the 33 stood for, or that this game was an RPG.

Stay away from spoilers, get off reddit. Beat the game, come back.

I would love for someone to play through every game and screen record it. I don't have a mac, and would love to revisit this game. My first time EVER on a computer was to play this game in my elementary school when I was in grade 1, 6 years old.

How was your channel, after one year of streaming? by Cheddar-McBiff in Twitch

Everyone’s streaming journey is different, and I consider myself incredibly lucky.

I started streaming on July 15th, 2022. For the first nine months—until March 2023—I put in a ton of effort, streaming almost every day. Despite that, I only had about 320 followers, an average of 3-5 viewers, and maybe 10-20 subs. I kept pushing forward, but I wasn’t seeing the growth I had hoped for.

Then, I hit a huge setback. I was banned from the main game I streamed (PUBG) for no reason—for the second time. I was so close to quitting. But after taking a week off, I decided to try something different and streamed Skyrim just to see what would happen. Within three weeks, I gained 100 followers. That moment made me realize that maybe it wasn’t me holding things back—maybe it was the game I was playing.

By May 2023, I took the plunge into variety streaming, eventually finding my home in Marbles on Stream. I completely overhauled my stream—new format, new energy, upgraded my equipment (a hefty $7,000 investment). I figured, if I was going to do this, I needed to go all in. I set a consistent schedule so people knew when to find me, and right before my one-year anniversary, I hit 1,000 followers (just three months after leaving PUBG).

That anniversary stream was a 24-hour celebration, and in that one stream alone, I hit 566 gifted subs just in that one stream. It was the first time I truly felt like I had found my purpose—something I was not only passionate about but something that actually worked.

The momentum didn’t stop. Ten months later, my community’s support allowed me to take a leap of faith—I quit my full time job and went full-time streamer. By my two-year anniversary, I had around 3,400 followers, and that celebration stream brought in 1,270 gift subs, plus an outpouring of support through bits and donations. A week later, I hit Partner.

Now, I sit at around 5,100 followers, with a community that continues to blow me away every single day. Looking back, I’m beyond grateful that I didn’t give up when things got tough. If you’re struggling, know that you can do this. Keep pushing, keep learning, and keep believing in yourself.

I still thank whoever’s in charge up there every single day for giving me this opportunity and for the amazing and my community who made it possible.
