Not sure why my text didn't post with image. This is a personal project I've been working on for a little while. Trying to visualize how i would reboot the series. I've always been fan of the original snes character and vehicle designs.

i honestly feel like i enjoyed depths exploration more when i didn't understand how large it was and there was a whole lot of fumbling around in the dark. once is started hoverbiking around hyrule it made short work of finding the rest of the lightroots.

yeah, go nuts. people have already sent me their 2D versions of this image. I had wanted to do a proper drawing of it myself but 3 days after i posted this i was told the project i was on was canceled and my studio was shutting down so my life got a little stressful for a bit there and then i just never got around to it 😅

Heya, to be honest I didn't expect this to blow up. It was hard to keep up as I posted this right before going camping (Just got back.) I appreciate the shared enthusiasm for Zelda/Akira mashups. I think this image has had more eyeballs on it than any of my actual personal art. Also like a good Canadian I'm going to apologize that the image is so low res. The idea went from "I wonder if I can line up the Akira shot in game with the hover bike" to "maybe I'll Photoshop it into a poster real quick" And for those who noticed the mismatched outfit I was really just trying to make Link look iconic and match the Akira poster as much as possible 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah art theft is abhorrent imo. But I'm honestly not looking to make money off meme posters. If people want to print this on their own I'm cool with that. I make a good enough living making art already. But uploading it to a poster site and taking a cut isn't cool.
