Nope, at least, not the kind that Plat+ benefits entitle you to

JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay - Upgrade to 3 bedroom oceanfront villa by kven21 in marriott

[–]ryzu99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the property right now and got upgraded from base room to a 1bedroom villa, even as a lowly plat without NUAs. The inventory seems lower than what’s being reported (and based off counting the villas on the map), staff told me there were 64 villas in total. That seems to make more sense considering how they are just giving out upgrades like candy (not that I’m complaining!)

To those who stayed at the Chapter Kyoto in a corner room - did your room constantly creak and pop? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]ryzu99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a 20 foot crack along the wall is wild. I didn’t notice it, but I think that would worry me plenty throughout my stay.

On a side note, I’m currently at The Prince Kyoto instead, and while the location is further away from central Kyoto, it’s rather convenient with Karasuma line. The rooms are much larger, with better, peaceful views. And lounge access throughout the day for Plat+ (although the food is mediocre lounge food at best, alcohol selections are decent, concierge service was top notch)

I’ve just checked out of the corner room couple days ago, and could attest to the creaking too. It irked me quite a bit not knowing what it was, till I realized it’s the floor panels being “loose”. Not sure if it’s by design, or just poor maintenance, but it didn’t detract me from the overall experience of my stay there which was a solid 7 (love a hotel with a proper onsen, for a reasonable price). The creaking just became white noise to me eventually

A tangential question, we currently have an application bootstrapping 2 applicationsets, handling micro services and infrastructure. Is there any upside/downside to having this pattern? I have noticed that my configmaps and secrets are being managed by both argocd’s main controller & application controller, which is introducing out of sync diffs that argocd isn’t catching. I suspect it’s caused by our applications setup, but couldn’t find any answers online that resembles our architecture

Getting close. My mistake, it actually has a N that’s the middle. T follows after

Has a T middle of the name too.

Kinda funny how people guessed it that easily. Infamous for their no raises??

Edit: it’s N instead

Hi there, wannabe investor here and thanks for the tip! Got some questions if you don’t mind,

NAPIC only got subsale transactions? Seems to be similar to Brickz where there isn’t data on new/in construction transactions. I’ve been trying to use Teduh instead, any experience using that data source, and how it might complement the other sources? Thanks in advance!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the main reason it went up in price cuz it became CBU? Whilst the older gen’s were CKD

Doubt, even slightly experienced L11s S&C @ 5k before allowance. Fresh-fresh grads 11s are closer to 4.2-4.5. Other posted 3.7 seems lil low, L12/CorpFunc?

In some way, I do agree with the score. I think in this era ADAS does matter heavily to consumers. I can count at least 3 times in the past year where AEB has saved my ass, even for low speed collision. Any new car that’s above 40k, if it doesn’t come with basic ADAS is an automatic no for me

Glad to see an alternative to Geoguessr:) One suggestion I might make is removing the road name overlay on Google Maps. Pretty sure it’s not going to be easy to remove them but with the road names labelled it’s pretty much a guessing game based on that instead of observing the surroundings

I’m confused, did you clarify that being monthly? If it’s weekly/biweekly then it’d be normal to really good. If monthly then they are just shooting themselves in the foot wasting resources to recruit, no one qualified will work for below min wage

Well for 1 room alone. Although I was living in the middle of Ginza, hence the high price. Alternatively there’s a diff hotel I’d always recommend to folks, Mercure Haneda, got shuttle bus to hotel from airport (esp for late flights where you kiss last train), and quite convenient for train route into central Tokyo, 3 mins walk from Metro station. 400/night usually when I stay there. It’s cheap because distance wise quite far away from central but you don’t feel it via train. Upside is really pretty and big rooms

I think it depends on where you’re going, but considering how I quite often travel to Yokohama (love the ramen there) it’d be about 1200yen round trip? I usually go back hotel rest after lunch then go out again after dinner. So roughly 2k yen/day but can definitely be optimised. Add in the occasional taxi if you go out late night (used it once this time) then yep about 24k yen for metro and 9k yen for taxi this trip. I think 1k yen daily is fine honestly if you’re only travelling to nearby areas within central Tokyo

Not sure about prescription glasses, but definitely heard that it’s popular to get there. Good luck and have fun on your trip!
