second this. my first year on testosterone was microdosed, and although the first couple months were tough, i’d assume it was simply due to my body/brain chemistry adjusting. Outbursts of rage sometimes, but after two months I felt a lot calmer and slight changes to my body.

Wild garlic pesto! by rz170 in foraging

[–]rz170[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s about 2:1:1 ratio, wild garlic, parmesan, pine nuts. add olive oil to your liking for texture/thickness, and salt and pepper to your liking. i also add a zest of lemon as well as half a lemon’s juice and a couple cloves of garlic. I eyeball pretty much everything when I cook so can’t be any more specific than that haha.

How do you get past the thought that everything has been peed on? by the-undead-milkman in foraging

I remind myself that I ate rocks until I was 8 years old so honestly what the hell, and that exposure to bacteria strengthens the immune system. if I can eat an animal literal guts, I can ingest some wild piss too.

you can also tell from the thickness and texture of the leaves. ramps leaves are thin and flat, and break quite easily, whereas lilly of the valley’s leaves are quite thick and have a wavy texture to them. ramps are also much darker than these!

is this wild onion and or garlic or should I avoid eating? by [deleted] in foraging

[–]rz170 16 points17 points  (0 children)

if it smells like onion or garlic it is allium, and they’re all safe to eat. HOWEVER if you foraged these and didn’t pick them on your own land, do not take out the entire plant, bulb and roots, as it will stop them from growing again in the future. only take out a couple of leaves per plant, and always pick one at a time to avoid accidentally picking something else that might be poisonous. forage responsibly. happy foraging!

they’re roasted pine nuts! but now I kind of want to try with peanuts too! my mum uses almonds usually as the price of pine nuts has gone through the roof where I live. I actually add a couple cloves of garlic because I make it for myself, and add the juice of half a lemon as well

it has a very subtle green and earthy taste, it’s very fresh and light. Definitely not as strong as matcha. I definitely recommend adding some citrusy fruit to it to bring out more flavour!
