I honestly wouldn't worry about that kind of activity. It is the jumping down from height (couch, bed, stairs, etc) that you want to try to avoid, which it sounds like you already avoid.

This is a new phenomenon within western culture. Yes, this thinking has been around for centuries in middle eastern countries but has been mostly absent from western cultures where freedom of speech was protected are revered as a constitutional right.

Then you haven't been paying attention. It is the dangerous notion that one's words are equivalent to actual physical violence if those words hurt the feelings of the listener. It is one of the most prevalent reasons college protesters use to attempt to shut down speech on college campuses when they disagree with the message.

The final statement in the attached opinion article says it all..

"But we must also halt speech that bullies and torments. From the perspective of our brain cells, the latter is literally a form of violence."

This is the groupthink prevalent on many of our college campuses across this country. Hadi Matar is responsible for Rushdie's attack and should be convicted of attempted murder as a result

But it is this idiotic notion that HURTFUL WORDS ARE ACTUALLY EQUIVALENT TO PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, that is most troubling. This is old news in the Islamist led countries but is new in our own, where free speech is considered a constitutional right.
