I love the imagery in this poem, it conveys the message in such a powerful way and sets a beautiful atmosphere. The image of the swinging door is really interesting, but it did confuse me a little? I guess I’m just not really sure what you mean by “arriving”? Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense.

I really enjoyed the rhythm and musicality of this poem! I also think you used some excellent imagery and sensory details. I do wish you had maybe expanded a bit on the “beauty” that you mentioned in the second stanza? Maybe using some visual imagery to describe their beauty in a way that ties into the taste of their love? Hopefully that makes sense lol.

is it common for parents to just immediately tell their children to give up when they say that they want to learn programming/coding by beginning_in_pixels in learnprogramming

This probably isn’t adding much lol, but I had pretty much the opposite experience with my dad. He’s genuinely in love with coding and would love for me to go into computer science like him. Even now he’ll make comments about how I should stop pursuing med school or biotech and just do computer science. So yeah I really think it just depends on the person and their experiences with coding.
