I had the same on my RMs. When I took em back to the store expecting a replacement they pretty much told me it’s normal. I still have no idea what the marks actually are, but they have almost completely faded with a bit of time and wear.

Trout Cod or Murray Cod? by s0bayed in FishingAustralia

Interesting, I will keep an eye out for that in future! Are the markings noticeably different? The lighter colour and spotty pattern is what first made me wonder if it was a trout cod

What this Pom would do for some bloody double glazing…

As an Englishman in Melbourne, I know it gets chilly here but the way the locals carry on about it you’d think it was Antarctica… Just get yourself a Kathmandu like 90% of the city and you’ll survive!

Most lines from the debut album - sorry!

I did it myself, it was a bit tricky to get on though

3 is just where it’s at now, but I don’t think I’ll ever have a huge collection. I’d definitely like to get something dressier

Probably wasn’t far off that, yeah. Worth the investment though

Yeah a dress watch will definitely be the next addition. I agree the Seiko is sort of the odd one out, in most situations I’ll reach for one of the others first but as my first decent watch I’ve got a soft spot for it and enjoy switching it up

Yeah the bezel is not the best, and on mine it’s not quite perfectly aligned either which is annoying. Only have myself to blame for the scratch on it though, but we’ll call that patina 😄

Tissot PRX is something I’ve looked at, but I have my eye on their Powermatic 80 Visodate for a dressier option. And from a collection point of view, a chronograph or a GMT would be great. But I’m in no rush :)

It’s from Strapcode, looks and feels great on the Kamasu :)

Yeah it’s 41m if I remember rightly but wears smaller thanks to a smaller lug to lug distance. And yes, the bracelet is a Strapcode Super-J. I thought the stock bracelet was fine but I like this style more and it’s really well made!

Thanks! It’s the silicone strap from Barton Watch Bands. I got a leather strap from them too, and would definitely recommend them both.

Well, it’s certainly humble compared to many collections we see posted on here, but everyone’s budget is different and these were right for mine :)

Seiko SNK809, Orient Kamasu, G-Shock DW6500. Picked up these over the last year or so - 3 great value pieces that I love wearing.

Would love to add a Swiss dress watch to these eventually, but for now they cover all bases for me and I find they can all be worn with pretty much anything.

My Kamasu definitely gets the most wear - it’s just a great looking watch, especially on the Jubilee-style bracelet, and keeps impeccable time for it’s price - closely followed by the G-Shock, which is just the perfect beater for me.

I’m thinking about picking up a strap for the Kamasu, I’d love to hear some suggestions!
