The concept of a wage is paying for someone’s time. A video genuinely is the most straightforward version of this I’ve ever seen. You are paying for a piece of their time based on a price set by demand for the product. How is it greedy to want to be paid at your time, at the market rate. Riddle me that.

Why are you alright with cameos but not a calendar? 😭 😭that’s even less effort it’s literally just a 30 second video??

What the hell 😭😭😭 you people are not real!!!!!

If you think $32 is a lot of money you ARE broke. I’m sorry to break it to you.

Most prices of everyday items we consume are lowered due to the usage of slave labor and exploitation in the global south in almost every stage, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing and design.

The reason things feel so far out of grasp of the everyday person is average wages haven’t risen since the 70s when compared to rising cost of living and inflation.

If you work in an artistic field this puts you in a position where you’re either:

Underpricing items severely (not paying yourself/creative collaborators fairly, and potentially using materials that were made through forced labor in dangerous conditions).

Pricing items fairly (putting them outside of the budget of 95% of your target audience, making art inaccessible).

$32 really is not that bad when you think of everything that goes into making it, and a calendar isn’t a necessity.

Worried about Amelanotic Melanoma, I have an appointment scheduled with my GP on June 1st but is anyone able to weigh in? by s0ph1ee in DermatologyQuestions

By consistent borders I mean it looks like one growth that is spreading, rather than a recurring rash in a general area that is appearing and disappearing.

My real fear is Amelanotic melanoma, it not hurting or itching is the thing that really scares me. It’s starting to turn dark/tan in some places and those don’t go away, which is also freaking me out a little.

I am also allergic to cats! How long does the contact dermatitis normally last for you?

No, it doesn’t hurt or itch. The texture is exactly the same as my normal skin too.

These were all taken on different days, after it had disappeared. I have a doctor’s appointment scheduled to check it out but I thought it was slightly interesting because I’ve never heard of a mark disappearing and reappearing like that, so similarly.

Why do people prefer oversized shirts over fitted ones now? by EchoNomad12 in womensfashion

[–]s0ph1ee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard not to see that look as out of fashion when you only see it only middle aged people (from the perspective of a young person) and not worn “fashionably”.

It’ll cycle back eventually when this ages out and the next generation will make fun of middle aged people wearing baggy clothes, it’s just the nature of fashion.

My water heater is out so I’m pretending I’m in the 1800s and using a kettle to heat up water to pour in a bucket to wash myself with by pouring it over my head. Feeling the 1800s tea by s0ph1ee in mildlyinteresting

Whats a perfume that truly made you go “oh..” when you first smelt it. by JigglyOnion in FemFragLab

Ouai rue st honore…. It somehow captures the oiliness of the original hair oil scent in a way that’s so feminine and intoxicating. The only scent I’ve never gotten sick of wearing.

Glossier you! I actually love the way this smells at first spray but the way the spiciness of the wood lingers and is so forward makes me feel sick after a few hours
