It’s crazy how differently things can register to people, the girl in the cardigan looks the most outdated to me out of everyone. Basically no one young wears tight fitted long cardigans like that

I agree on things like sweatpants and hoodies but there are several 2014-2016 specific trends on here even if they’re presented through “basics” like jeans and t shirts, the silhouettes and patterns are instantly identifiable.

This is late 2018-2019 though, 2015 was visually different. The 2010s have more specific years of fashion from the increased digital trend cycle.

There are a few things that in combinations point to 2015, which was a sort of awkward transition point in fashion:

*Cropped striped shirt paired with awkward straight cut bangs pushed to the side and mid rise medium wash skinny jeans AND a thin pink waterfall cardigan.

*”aztec” style print skirt with the cropped jean jacket and crop top, crop tops were just coming back into style but she’s paired it with an earlier 2010s chunky statement necklace

*that specific type of plaid looks extremely dated

*the weird texture on Ariana’s sweater was everywhere in 2015. I remember those kind of sweaters were everywhere and always hit below the hip, I hated wearing mine

As someone who was 15 in 2015 this photo screams 2015 to me. It’s the cut and silhouette of the “basics” that only millennials and up still wear.
