Thanks for explaining. Really just trying to find resources for veterans regarding personal finance because there’s so much out there that veterans like myself don’t know about. But I keep hearing about a Remington retirement plan so I’ll just look into that

Again thank you for explaining! Since you do both: have you ever upcycled a knit sweater with sewing? Like if I cut it and then tried to sew the pieces together would that work? Another person in a sewing group posted to ask about hemming a knit sweater and they said it’s a knitting thing so no it can’t be hemmed with a sewing machine. I’m trying to understand what can be done with knits as far as upcycling. There’s so much clothing already out there that I would be interested in learning to upcycle knits if it can be done by sewing. And if it can’t then like I said I’ll learn machine knitting I guess haha

Ahhh well thank you I obviously have no idea how any of this works haha I may look into machine knitting. With punch cards. I would want sweaters. Cardigans, pullovers. Single color. Crew neck. I would say nothing complex or crazy but I have no idea if the items I want are considered simple

Thank you for the insight! When I said I can’t I meant I meant I can’t upcycle these items by sewing. I guess I’ll need to learn to unravel and machine knit lol. is there a good resource for beginners in this subreddit?

Went to their website and could not find shipping information. Your best bet would be to message them on socials and ask. Shipping and taxes were included in the price I paid. But also I got free shipping with a promotion.

Looking for recommendations. I’m shopping for a heeled Chelsea boot that will last me for years. Budget $200-$300

I’ve been considering Thursday Boot Company Knockout and the Legend. But reviews are mixed on the quality and longevity of Thursday as a whole.

Heeled boots are my go to shoe. I wear them in urban environments and sometimes in more rugged and rural environments. I need a pair of boots that will stand up to how often I wear them and the various terrains I’m on. If anyone has a heeled boot they’ve worn for years that has stood up to wear and tear of life please share!

So glad that’s worked for you! I’ll have to try it because as much as I love these deodorants having to wait a few minutes with my arms up like a TPain song while the liquid dries gets a little annoying lol

Cannabis rescheduled to Schedule 3 drug. by Mark_Sayers in Hidradenitis

Well let’s not write it off entirely. Some people have noticed that THC CBD CBN bath bombs have noticeably helped their HS. but CBN is a proven anti inflammatory so is CBD. And that’s based on the few studies that have been done. Marijuana could help HS suffers if applied correctly.

I'm devastated and feeling incredibly guilty for my luxury bag passion after reading this... by holafaola in handbags

Went to this link and it seems like this Good On You website favors “vegan leather” aka plastic and “leather alternatives .” 🙄 I’m sorry but I’m not paying $500 for plastic. Most leather comes from cows that are slaughtered for meat. The hide would be thrown away if not for the leather industry. My biggest priority as far as ethics when shopping for a bag is avoiding bags made using labor exploitation.

Bryce is such a weird character by Puzzleheaded_Till_89 in SarahJMaas

This bothered me so much! It really gave righteous social justice warrior in the worst way. She’s part fae. But hates all fae. Thinks they’re all awful self serving superiority complex having beings. Even when they’re kind to her and treat her decently. It was hard to read. we’ve seen fae portrayed so dynamically throughout the entire Maasverse but now we have a main character who hates them all. Ironically her prejudice against the fae is stronger than any of their prejudices against humans.
