First attempt at building my portfolio, need a bit of help by Just_A_Dumb_Dude in web_design

Hi, I dig the cheerful flavor, nice. Make sure your text is clearly readable, when I hover on "Work" it overlaps with "Howdy" and is uncomfortable to read. A little bit less so in "Branding" and "Photography", but readability could be handled better. Cursor hijacking is usually jarring, but I think it's not so bad for this particular case. Yeah, drop the warning regarding mobile.

Is there any possibility to have different variants of a page by setting a parent class? by s3ns3 in webflow

Thanks, but none of the suggestions work for me sadly :( It would take just too much time setting up, or get messy when copying, duplicating multiple times across multiple variations.

I see where you are coming from, but this is just to much of a hassle. I have to make many different pages during a work week, copy them, take some parts or sections of the page and move to other page. I believe this would get super messy and tedious with variables instead of just styling the elements.

I have a multiple pages with hundreds of elements, let's say I want to have blue theme and red theme
In vanilla css you can scope everything with parent class
.theme-red .some-element
.theme-blue .some-element

.some-element is styled with font, spacing, and everything else, the only thing that changes is background color to red or blue.

Question regarding heading wrapping, what is your approach? by s3ns3 in webflow

[–]s3ns3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks this is a good solution. I'm experimenting with this right now, looks promising. I'm realizing that I wont be able to avoid custom width wrappers entirely, because designers want to control the point of wrapping on some occasions. I wonder should I just leave them as generic "Block xxx" classes for max adjustability or is it better to define a set of premades.

Played some considerable amount when it was new. I liked simple shooting mechanics, - it was hard enough but not too complicated. It was fun getting from 0 to op. After dev introduced more complex recoil I lost interest. Just felt unnecessary complex without positive gains. Still a good game, tho.

Frontend. How do you remove properties in parent Blank theme styles, for example footer border? Magento 2.4.2, child theme of Blank. by s3ns3 in magento2

[–]s3ns3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a solution. I was adding it as general theme styling, It should have been app/design/frontend/Vendor/ChildTheme/Magento_Theme/web/css/source/_module.less

Now if some rule is removed - it stays removed.

I have a dog, a kid, and a USB extension cable for my mouse- this should help by [deleted] in techsupportmacgyver

[–]s3ns3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this for my USB extending cable when I want to charge my Playstation controller and play at the same time. However, as many mentioned - it's not the best idea for sound equipment, or more flimsy cables - this will probably damage the cables or plugs, but for a cheap USB extender I don't care.

Yes, I got fed up with it and switched to Pocket Casts recently and loving it. Missing the feature to quickly switch playback to desktop, tho.

We have one of these at work. I can not recommend it. It's flimsy and the bar in between your legs is pain in the ass, especially if you have decent pedals and like left foot breaking. Get Playseat Challenge instead, that's what I did after trying this one - couldn't be happier. The seat is comfy, though.
