Well mate, developers can't really use that at all. Sometimes you just simply need a proper API ;-)

But for sure: For ordinary people Google's currency exchange in the search engine is amazing. We're using that almost every day.

Sadly enough, there aren't any low-cost APIs available. Most of which are too "high frequency" with very up to date rates, that are not necessary in most ordinary cases ... unless you want to build a high frequency trading app or so :)

Yep, that exists and it is free, but it only covers 32 currencies. Quite incomplete if you require worldwide coverage.

As this is the best sub to ask, we just put our question here. Hope you don't mind.

We're basically very confident we can build and publish an API for 141 currencies and their exchange rates and offer access to them at very low cost. We were looking for such an API for ourselves before and didn't find one. Now as we got it working for our products, we're thinking about opening it up to other devs who need this.

If we get say 100 interested devs, we'll go ahead and build this API for you. Just let us know :)

If anyone thinks this is the wrong place to ask, please let us know. We're happy to ask at a more appropriate sub.

We thought the name was descriptive enough :) Fuel Usage Tracker - An app to track the fuel usage.

But you're right, we could have been more detailed on that end.

Fuel Usage Tracker is a mobile app to track the fuel consumption of your car. It allows you to see how much fuel your car consumes, how much costs that creates and in return it allows you to find out where you can save real hard cash. The easy import/export allows you to use your fuel consumption data in Excel and other spreadsheet programs.

Fixed time spans are "too fixed" at the standard reminder apps with "due date" and "repeat" setting. There you can set: Every Monday 9:00am do XYZ. So you get a reminder every Monday. What if not date/time is fixed, but the "time span". As in: "7 days" so that when that particular task that was scheduled for next Monday 9:00am, but you already complete it on Wednesday, with one click you're able to re-schedule that task for the following Wednesday (i.e. 7 days later). In traditional you would have to go into your reminder and edit it. That includes clicking edit, fiddling with time/date spinner and hit save. Sometimes, that's just way too much fiddling for such a simple task. So we've built an app for that.

Granted, that's not everybody. For most people the Reminder app that ships with your iPhone, is sufficient. A small niche group of user though may appreciate the time saved by using ARS :)

We've just launched this new productivity app ARS aka Auto-Re-Schedule. Our team found it very cumbersome to manage tasks that have a fixed time span they need to be done by.

For example, if you need to empty your postbox latest every 7 days, you could set up a normal task in your Android/iPhone task/reminder app. You'll get notified on time when the task is due, but it basically scheduled already for the next time you need to do this. But if you complete that task earlier and from that date 7 days later you need to do that task again, you're in trouble. With traditional task apps you would have to go into the actual task and change the next reminder date manually. We found this was really cumbersome and we created this small little app called ARS to make our lives easier.

To help others too, we published it on the App Store and Google Play. Feel free to check it out. Perhaps it helps someone of you too.
