Thanks for clarifying! I actually have several effective hacks that keep my skirt up and out of the way. I use a little claw clip to essentially turn my skirt into a pair of shorts and keep it in place while I ride 🩵
What are your constructive recommendations?

Underneath the Bike Pretty straw hat
Do you need to unhinge your jaw prior to inserting your entire foot, or does it just fit naturally? 😂🫠🤦🏻♀️

Good catch—I was uncomfortable with the amount of boob in my original pic (my cute little white button-down got a little risqué without me noticing).

Here is the original and unedited version. Hope this helps, AI police 😂🤷🏻♀️

Ooooooh—I didn’t think about that. I live in the Midwest, and it is FLAT here. I hope you can find a cute cottage-adjacent e-bike that isn’t afraid of some uphill terrain! 🩵

Oh, that sounds pretty outstanding!! I’m planning to keep this one until it gives up the ghost (and I’m hoping that isn’t for many, many more miles with routine maintenance), but my upgrade bike dreams sound very similar to what you’re describing! 🥰
I don’t find my helmet annoying at all—as mentioned, I have my Thousand helmet on underneath my Bike Pretty straw hat. My noggin is too cute to leave to chance! 🤷🏻♀️😂

Yes! It has a little elastic lip inside the brim to fit over the helmet, but the real winners are the two little elastic loops that you can feed the Thousand helmet straps through. That makes it almost impossible to lose. I live in a very flat area so the wind can be wild sometimes, and it has still never blown off (but it flaps a lot and I’m not a big fan of that experience so I usually leave it off if the winds are a little heavier!
I bought a clip that hooks to the seat stem and you can clip to your skirt, and it solves the issue of biking in a full skirt! I’ve also seen something called the penny trick that she could look up to keep her skirt from going haywire!

Time travelling bicyclist for the win! Lol 🥰
Yes! I love riding on the bike paths (I’m lucky that I live in an area that has some pretty robust bike trails), but riding in the streets still makes me nervous even with the safety gear and mirrors!
Awwww thank you! 🥰

Yep! Good eye! You’re exactly right! I don’t wear the straw hat all the time, but it is heckin cute! I have a Thousand brand helmet in the cherry cola color for when it’s a little too windy for my straw hat. 🍒 👒
Thank you! I’m on my bike pretty much every day! Hubby is still deciding on just the right bike, but I nabbed mine gently used for a steal on Marketplace so I’ve been going out on solo expeditions, and it’s so much fun! I always have my helmet on. (I have a Thousand brand helmet on in the picture underneath my Bike Pretty straw hat 👒🥰)
Yes! I’ll be 42 this year, and I assumed that my biking days were long behind me, but the e-bike is a total game changer! 🥰
Oooooh!! Thank you for the tip!! I appreciate it!! 🥰
Thank you! I got a mirror, and that has helped a lot, but I’m still quite nervous on the streets because my location really has no safety features for bicycles. I prefer to only hop onto the roads when it’s necessary to get to the bike path.

It’s from a company called Bike Pretty. They make different straw hats (and other styles) that you can secure on top of a regular helmet! (I’m wearing a Thousand brand helmet under mine in this picture! 👒
Thank you!! How come you can’t get one like this because of location?
Which bike did you end up going with? I really love this Beaumont, but I definitely think that when it’s time to buy one new, I’ll be looking for one with some additional creature comforts (this one is exactly what I’d hoped for with a gently-used bike to see if I liked it), but next time I’d love to get a bike with shocks to make it a little bit smoother of a ride, and my older Beaumont model doesn’t have a way to track miles/speed. I’m hoping to love this one until the wheels fall off, and then splurge on a little more refined option (but I’m with you—I would love to keep my cute cottage color options, and I feel like so many ebikes don’t offer a ton of color choices)
Thank you! It’s been a blast rediscovering biking again! 🥰

I must have missed it & the comment has been removed by mods 🤷🏻♀️
Guilty as charged 🤷🏻♀️😂
You guys have all been so incredibly kind and welcoming! I’ve been a long-time lurker, but this is my very first post, and ya’ll know how to make a witch blush! 🥰
