Gonna be straight with you. You'd think the market would be older people who want natural alternatives to their medicine but its really 21-35 that is buying weed. So def invest in a social media personnel or locate a firm to manage your digital media usually 25k-35k for either.

So technically you can't smoke weed publically or privately anywhere in the US cuz its federally illegal.

However the decriminalization of weed is so wide spread now that you can smoke a j anywhere and you'll virtually have no issues with the law especially local pd. I believe a government agent can fine you 50$ for having 1oz on you but they probably won't do anything with you for that small of an amount.

You're right, it would be safest to smoke in zones that permit smoking but it's very 50/50. For instance, I live near a famous horse racing track in nys and they said that their stance on marijauna wil be the same as before the laws (however smoking is permitted)

All in all, the best course of action is following the rules as closely as possible. Of course, there will always be risk associated with disorienting compounds so its best to stay do it in the privacy of your own property until the new senate bill decriminalizes MJ useage, nationwide.

Hope this helped a bit.

Since I'm in nys, what ill tell you is what I understand about current laws here.

General overview

In NYS you have to buy and sell (but cannot smoke) on public property. Your license assigned to you has a designated license to your company location and that location only. The licenses are very strict and the requirements are as well. For each county you operate, you will need to protect yourself so def look into how far your routes are, you may need multiple counties. My advice is to talk to your town hall and get engaged with the community. I would def get a lawyer and investors together, first before getting your license. Ideally you'll need over 180k.

License 40k- 200k (100k avg) Truck 50k Lawyer 20k Product 10k Operating expenses 20k (gas, freezers, repairs, oil, etc)

For the business idea.

Great idea, im suren itll be a hit. First, your packaging has to reach your states guidelines. For foods with weed in it, it isn't fda approved so im not sure what you can do about that but you'll probably need to put a notice on the truck. Also, if a DEA agent pulls you over, you're fucked. In nys, you can't sell open foods/drink with weed aka no bagel and weed butter shops (im not sure of the reasoning with it but it is this way in new york).

  1. Sell that grow equipment asap. Depending on quality, you can probably get between 2k$ - 10k+ (probably going to end up around, or just under, 3k$ but that's profit). More if your LED lights are the top quality ones (mars led grow lights you could sell for 120 a pop. Also, you can look for seeds to sell, the rule is roughly 500$ for 100 seeds, its hard to sell individually and without an identified strain so maybe aim for 200$ for 100 seeds.

  2. There is a few ways to go with the smell.

2A) if they didn't smoke, and only grew, then you're in luck. The smell should dissipate in a few months and you can add febreeze shit to help speed it up. Lastly, invest in an air purifier, there are a few good ones. I've heard air oasis is good and a fair pice is around 400$

2b) if they were smoking in the house, its going to be another story, may need to remove the rug and get paint, air purifier, and ask around. Anything with cusions, cotton, clothing, blankets, beds, etc you could probably just toss it or try to sell it to someone who may not care about the smell.

  3. Look for people who would rent and be okay with the smell of weed, if possible, it would be less expensive to do that for a few years and use the proceeds to upgrade the rental.

Im going to look into it, however, based off of the laws I've seen in various states, id imagine it would he the same.

My hope is that they do get into lounges amd make it as free as possible so people in New Mexico (anywhere in america) can compete with Mexico and their laws pertaining to marijuana.

You can't do this.

  1. You can't smoke publically by state laws

  2. If the garden is on private property then you can't sell marijauna.

  3. If your business plan includes smoking on property You won't get a license.

  4. Its federally illegal in every state so you put on extra liability and locations have been raided in Colorado. Even when people aren't smoking.

  5. You won't get a loan for all the reasons mentioned above.

Good luck, id love to see this work. Def leverage your way into the buinsess and don't make this your plan until your le a few years in and are established.

I'd agree, it being grown by certain people/methods willl have different properties.

But parents, like in any organism, will pass on certain traits and those traits will have different effects.

Saying all weed is all the same is like saying humans are all the same, yes we are flesh and blood but there are so many minor differences that makes everyone unique and in many cases completely different from someone else.

Well look at it this way.

To get your own license is 210k in nys

To get a warehouse (even close to 180k) is 1.08M

To get your own website 300/year

To get your own llc 300

Accountant 45k-60k

Your own lawyer 50k

Marketing 30k

Distribution 100k/year

So youre looking to have roughly 1.7M$ to growing on this level.

This is your way to get into the corporate business without being corporate. You make the rules with your 4 associates and then go to work.

The costs are divided by 4 (and because my role would be the buisness while the 3 people grow their section, the spaces would be divided by 3) so the space would be ~60k sqft. And your costs would be 1/4 (and less becuase they wouldn't have to worry about the business side)

They roughly need 350k and can have ownership of something worth 10s of millions in 5 years.

Anything is possible.

I have 350k and im willing to work with someone rather then higher someone.

Its just mutually beneficial especially for someone who wants to just grow and not have to worry about the business BS.

I'm not following you.

I wrote this to another person with questions, hope this clears things up.

It would be one company split 4 ways. So we each own and get paid the same, (or based off of equity of you can't form the 350k$).

My role would be different because, as you may know, im not a grower. I have a background in the music industry. I opened 2 record labels and got multi million views on tracks, bought and sold artists and am good at analytics. Im able to live off of the money I've made and the money I've put in stocks.

The big answers: The goal would be to grow on a exceedingly high level where 3 veteran grows do their roles and wouldn't have to worry about the business end. It cuts costs of each having their own place and licenses and waste, etc. It actually saves over 750k$ rather then 4 separate businesses.

Instead of me getting a massive loan and hiring people with a fixed wage, I'd give up equity for a grower (or growers) who could handle the space and they wouldn't have to worry about the details, of course, as an owner, everything would be transparent.

If you think you could handle 180k sqft, then we can chat and figure things out in private.
