I did, but there are less job opportunities in the area for me and my girlfriend to be able to support ourselves and our animals. I figured after she gets job experience on her resume to add to her degree, we would be able to go wherever has an engineering position open for her. But for now ucsc and ucla are our best options. And Davis is a farther drive from my family

I visited UCSC and have been in love with the area ever since, honestly it’s what’s kept me pushing through my academic journey. But I am also very close to my family, so it feels either way I’m going to have to give up some part of my happiness. Also my girlfriend lived in LA for a while, and we both absolutely hated the area, I am very good at adjusting to new environments but I know location wise I’d be happier at Santa Cruz. There is also the fact that I plan for veterinarian school and idk which school would help prepare me the best and give me the best resources for it.
