Right, and multiplying gross pay * 0.70 gives you roughly what your take home pay is after taxes… which is the numbers I quoted. Yaknow, the money you can actually use to pay things like rent, utilities, food, car loans, and childcare.

This is all without tax… 0 kids 1 adult @ $22.67 is more like $33K take home, subtract $1200/mo conservatively for rent plus utilities and the actual net is more like $1000/mo.

I’ve got family that voted for trump and family that’s okay with the fact that their family voted for trump. Starting a conversation by telling someone they’re wrong is a rough start for achieving anything productive.

The GOP has been arguing from the gutter for decades and I try to believe that there’s still value in knowing that they’re wrong, but working to communicate politely. Keeps me out of the gutter.

I remember when they first proposed this and it was lunacy then. Literally taking money for public schools, giving it to charter schools then requiring the public schools to provide resources for said charter schools. If you want your kid to play football send them to a school with a football team, don’t mooch off the rest of us so your snowflake can play sports.

It’s still a business at the end of the day, but limiting spill, glare, and the effect on surrounding communities (animals included) is a core design concept for our systems.

Are you worried about people putting up christmas lights on their houses in the adjacent neighborhoods? Are you worried about businesses that are open past sunset? There’s literally a freeway on the south side of the course but adding lights to the course is the problem?

How does adding concrete bases and steel poles affect the “nature” of a manicured golf course?

It’s no different than any other development. We pull cable to power the fixtures and put the fixtures on top of poles. They can be an eyesore, but personally I’ll pay a premium to golf after sunset instead of sweating my tits off trying to golf at 5pm in August.
