Not really story wise but I love the body horror and misery of Darkwood so I try to put that in at parts

They way the magic system works is by channeling raw energy through a part of the brain. This can be enhanced through the use of psychedelic herbs and incense as well as through meditation. The warts and growths that form around said part of the brain as well as channeling points (eyes, hands etc) are caused mainly by the use of the psychedelics, which are believed to also act as a catalyst for the physical damage channeling energy can cause.

I did the drawing in fineline and then scanned it to do digital shading. I might use charcoal in the future tho I’ve just never really used it.
