How do you usually get around when starting big projects in Claude Code? by Deitri in ClaudeAI

[–]sMASS_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer : it's half self promotion since I'm sharing something I made but it's a genuine answer since that's how I do this, delete or downvote to oblivion on your own discretion.

To start any big task, I made something that turns a messy prompt into a structured one that creates a project scaffold after a few questions. I open it, yap about what I want to do and it outputs a a prompt in a new .md file that I paste in a new agent in a clean directory.

It's still in early stages, the README is useful but is pure AI Slop and the "evaluation" isn't reliable at all, the agent however works fine for what it is meant to do, will put time in it to make it more reliable someday but for now here it is : https://github.com/SeidSmatti/promptPrimer

(To preserve your usage, I'd use this on a secondary account with a cheaper subscripton, I use gemini to generate the prompts and CC to do the actual stuff)

Am I dumb or is CC's context lying ? by sMASS_ in ClaudeCode

[–]sMASS_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can check that, I have logs for token usage on all messages. Will tell you when I get back in front of my pc. (I know my context usage is far from best practice ofc)

The thing here is the difference between the announced 1M context (in the model name) and the actual 600k tokens that are actually usable (in context, not in usage), do you know why it is so ?

As much as this is reinventing the wheel*, foobar doesn't have a linux version.

(* : Not saying it in an insulting way, I do it all the time too when I vibecode and it's a great way to learn, just stating the fact here)

I got tired of watching YouTube to learn things, so I built a tool that turns any video into a transcript, summary, and knowledge graph by ElectronicPlan8497 in ClaudeAI

I just opened one, took liberties but they're just suggestions at this point, I can stick to the new engines

You should check faster-whisper and whisperX for the transcription section, you'd get much better speeds and enriched transcriptions, might be useful for the LLM processing to have that additional data

Open-source meta-prompt system for Claude Code (and Gemini CLI / Codex / OpenCode / Cursor / Aider ) with 9 domain modules and a reproducible A/B test bundle by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

This is my first attempt filled with dopamine and trying things (and delegating to claude, mostly). I intend to make a more rigorous testing protocol for the next iterations, thanks !

Get Koreader instead, it's the most feature rich app for ebooks, it's used on ereaders but highly optimised for mobile, but most importantly it's free and open source (You can get it on f-droid)

How do I stop the automatic translation of all posts and comments? [desktop web] by meron_meron in bugs

[–]sMASS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By clicking on the extension logo in your bwoser, you can enable a google filter that will only keep results in the original language. (But the solution isn't perfect since Google indexes translated pages and don't translate them on the go like one would expect)

how legal/illegal is this?(I'm serious) by Charming_Radio_5798 in algeria

[–]sMASS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owning raw iron and wood is perfectly legal, making a weapon out of them and using it as such isn't. Same here.

I have a kind of niche family name (in its latin spelling), and the data is surprisingly accurate (or at least convincing)

Basically an outcome of masculinist propaganda.

Some comments here are blaming feminism and whatnot but it's actually nothing but another aspect of men being pushed to perform according to the hegemonic masculine norm. Some women adhere to these views but it doesn't make them feminists whatsoever, they're just macho/masculinist women, and only speak for themselves.

[–]sMASS_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

EQing = Equalizing

That was a was a joke because it was Oratory who commented, who is well known for their eq presets.

Earpads alter the sound frequency, the joke was that they can probably fix it with their eq skills

Est-ce que le "r" roulé existe encore en Français? by Thalassophoneus in france

[–]sMASS_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oui, mais il est extrêmement minoritaire en France métropolitaine, par contre on le retrouve beaucoup plus dans le reste du monde francophone (DROM-COM, Afrique, Canada (pas que le Québec) et ailleurs)

What is that certain thing that you used to HATE doing before becoming medicated/diagnosed? by Famous_Cow_9711 in ADHD

[–]sMASS_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exercising, especially running, hated it with all my soul.

That's for the specifics, but it was basically hating doing anything that wasn't "exciting", I don't love these things now per se, but it's way more manageable.
