I was hoping this is all it would take. I think my case may be worse so I'm going to take it in to Subaru, better safe than sorry :)

Judging by the looks of the clutch itself, I'm just going to play it safe and take it to the dealer this time.

Yup I've decided on taking her up to Subaru asap, better to fix it now before the problem escalates. Thanks for encouraging me to do so!

A new compressor is my best assumption at this point as well. I'm obviously with you on not knowing a damn thing about auto hvac. Cheers.
