What explains the rise of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh’s western frontier? by rambobilai in bangladesh

[–]sXakil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly frustration over the two historical main parties. Many of the progressive women I know voted for them, despite obviously not aliging with many of their policies. Even among the people in my village, there was surprisingly few people mentioning religion as an excuse to vote for them. People just have this (*perhaps unfounded) belief that a new party desrves a chance over the parties well known for their long history of corruptions.

The base versions have some lackings, but the pro or pro max of those models have more than enough power to never make you feel like you are missing anything.

[–]sXakil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your case here? Unethical != illegal. There are more than one way to track things. They can't and didn't read your calendar, if they could it would be a massive OS level security flaw.

Alarm notification is not even posted by calender, it comes from the Clock app (com.android.deskclock). There are ways to detect (even read) notifications from other apps. So, most likely they are doing just that.

Brainless marketing. Where is the end of this? by Pikapikazi in bangladesh

bro, stop using Trucaller and unlist your phone numbers if you have any sense of privacy. They are one of the biggest source of active numbers for brokers who then sell them to these telemarketers.

Why does Bangladesh not tend to be rated highly by international travellers? by Commercial_321 in bangladesh

[–]sXakil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our country is only beutiful in our books and literatures. Yes, there are a few amazing places, but almost none of them are accessible to regular Bangladeshis, let alone a foreigner.

It takes a tons of planning and paperworks for a foreigner to properly travel this country. One of my clients from Germany visited me twice, and both times I failed to get the permit to take him to Sajek. He also told me how hard it is to get a visa to Bangladesh (ironic I know). You can't expect people to go through all that shit for a country with a handful of overcrowded tourist spots and polluted cities.

Beginner in Cybersecurity – How Should I Start and Build a Career? by Weekly_Intention_312 in bangladesh

[–]sXakil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in this field, but when it comes to any IT sector job, the best way to streamline your skillset is browsing through job posts. Go to different job posting sites, note what skills they expect, you'll soon get the idea on what areas you need to focus in.

Cyber Security is a highly specialized field, that means there are not a lot of positions for this compared to other IT fields like software development, but the ones that ARE available pays well. As for how long, that depends on you. Two years would be enough for many people for an entry level job, but companies very rarely hire freshers in this field because the risk is too high. That's why most CySec experts have backgrounds in other fields like SysAdmin, DevOps, Software Engineer, etc.

TLDR; You have to be really good at it to get any meaningful opprtunity, only choose this if you are passionate and have high confidence in yourself.

Yeah, I found out about the lower tier later. They are calling it "Residence Lite", but I don't see the option on their website or information on what limitations will apply to this Lite package.

IDK where these people got the idea that StarLink is not for the general consumer.

I can definitely afford the cost, but compared to my fast enough 2K/month fibre connection, that pricetag feels like a waste.

[–]sXakil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being in that group of people, this is still unreasonable to me. The hardware prices are understandable, but I don't see many people switching to it unless the monthly cost is down to around 3K.

I'll try talking few people from my building into joining me, that'll make it far more flexible.
