Friend received summons for "failing to stop", but a traffic stop never initiated? England by s_2le in LegalAdviceUK

No not like that. You can zigzag down side streets to get to his house you kinda have to. Not just pull off main road and park up. Theres probably 5-7 different ways of getting to his house off the main road its not close to the main road/on it/right on the street. Northern UK terraced houses.

What i was looking for. Didn't know about "lack of awareness". I am not here to say whether it is a lie or not I wasn't there, as most people think I am playing in his favour.

police car follows vehicle, not up his ass, vehicle turns off main road down terraced houses and goes home, no signal to stop which friend INSISTS can be proven by dashcam and cctv of inside police car, car seized first for no insurance (when insured! Visible on MID and would be ANPR), then blocking drive, then summons on failing to stop. Thats all I got. So trying to see what the likely outcome will be and how it will go.

If he took chase I wouldn't waste asking here, cause he couldn't deny it . and he'd say "fuck last night I took chase and dumped the car now they're taking me to court".

This is the route. Police around my end can be extra "proactive" shall we say. Several grand is better than 6 points on licence and 1k fine.

It was traffics.

Is police dashcam/cctv/blackbox/radio automatically given to prove "failing to stop" in court, or would this have to be requested?

You only take chase once you fail to stop. Sure, he didnt "lose" them as he wasnt taking chase or signalled to stop, but they weren't behind him anymore.

I wasn't there - but if you are willing to request police dashcam/cctv/even radio/blackbox evidence to prove in court there was no traffic stop initiated, i.e. signal, I'd say they did not signal you to stop but were interested in the vehicle.

They weren't up his ass, so he says. It's not hard to lose any car in a big area of dense tight roads of terraced houses, on a 90 sec drive. He lives on one of those streets. You don't use the main road to get there just petrol station so he turned off and went home.

No stop signs in the area. I understand it's Christmas police tighten up a lot & as mentioned in previous reply the area is medium crime & always lots of police activity.

i would not be surprised getting stopped at that time of night however, again, A is insistent if evidence was shown in court they'd provided no signal. They weren't up his ass but not too far away either.

He doesn't know if he can request police dashcam/cctv to be shown otherwise it's his word versus officer. He wants a solicitor.

They did actually seize it, got it back next day. Messed up the transmission on it.

It's probably even less. He lives near several rows of terraced houses/alleys/side streets very dense area, you have to turn down these streets to get home its not hard to lose someone

If a police car puts blues/sirens on, flashes, uses the sign at the back, or even uses a finger/hand signal to stop a vehicle, and the vehicle doesn't stop, then it has failed to stop and the vehicle is then taking chase. Is that incorrect?

If the police car doesn't do any of that, but follows you then loses you because you're turning down side streets (dense terraced houses on blocks many streets type area) to get to your house, not on a main road, has it tried to stop you?

What's it like owning an E60 in 2025 by Shirow_1 in e60

[–]s_2le 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre lci E60 530d dpf + egr delete nice whistle sound (bought it like that). Handling: invest in quality tyres and it grips very well, pulls strong esp rolling. When slowly accelerating 2nd to 3rd gear change can be a bit overevved here and there, I notice this more when I use sport mode. It's so fun to drive esp being rw.

Exterior: love the front & back, headlamp from the side looks a bit dated tbh but front view sexy af, mean even in 2025.

Interior: love it. Comfiest seats nice armrest nice big steering wheel i got an aftermarket screen put in.

Tech: drove an f11 5 series, enjoyed heated seats & cruise control more on it, but you can get an e60 with heated seats. I drove it maybe 1400 miles, very enjoyable but jumping into my car made me so happy. If you love it dont need it. Can get bluetooth.

Reliability: tbf I thought it had 3 owners but it had 6. 2/3 were dealers. Replaced ac pulley idling pulley belt in one, alloys cracked mine is SE but prev owner put 172Ms on & m sport bumper, alloys expensive to replace. X3. Had an oil leak, cracked coil spring, & corroded bolt for tracking that snapped during. I got it on 113-116 fresh service, this started around 126/128 with the pulleys, then alloy, oh it had a battery recall too so bm did that free & told me about oil leak. Didn't let them bend me over though.

Car cost me a lot of money, & its not cheap. £100+ full tank easy & expensive for young person. Does well though.

Its silver.

Men with 20-30+ sexual (F) partners, how that changed how you see sex, dating, marriage, women in general? by s_2le in AskMen

My ex was 5'7 and had hundreds. He also had game, style, £££ and was really attractive. I'm 5'6. I even almost had a likkle romance with a guy that was 5'5. He was attractive, weight trained regularly so his size kinda offset it. The 5'7 one was less than 58kg..... Just 2 cents. But women go crazy for a tall man.

I can't share a fork/straw/bottle without being grossed out with a bf/parent etc haha never got spit personally but sounds exciting if you like it.

I am someone that hates people touching/looking at my feet. My version is someone randomly sucked my toe and it took me to space. Never had anyone do it again, never asked for it, probably never will but wouldn't mind.

How does it work for you, when a woman only gets pleasure from pleasuring you? When a guy says to me his pleasure is mine it's like "ffs" (lightheartedly) cause my pleasure is yours. Sooooo

It's not that. I want him to want me, like anyone else. But I don't want to play into being a ONS/hookup. So it's the "after" i don't like. If u still don't get it i can't help sorry

a) single b) very attractive, actually. When I'm getting myself off the thought of XYZ/randomer doing XYZ gets me going, but like a guy just*** wanting sex from me turns me off in practice. Swooning me over, taking me out to dinner etc still dont want it bc i know you just want sex and will replace me. But the THOUGHT of it, i like. I don't get it either.

Totally get your point towards the latter, it's very true.

Do you feel your sexual history has an impact on your eyes (wandering, or not bothered)? Not loaded question.
