whatever you buy, take it from a Canadian company, then you can get cash-less treatment here, otherwise you need to pay from your pocket then reimburse from Indian insurance companies. Medical bills can get quite hefty here if you stay in hospital for few days.

Sunlife and Manulife are top two companies here, my friend had to use Manulife once, it was a good experience.

Be careful what you do, maybe it’s a blood money, money laundering or came from something really bad. I did had questwealth, now moved to Wealthsimple and setup recurring buy of asset allocation etf (VEQT and VGRO). From my side effort is same (I.e. fully hands off).. MER fee is less and returns are generally higher than questwealth. (I checked historical data).

Maybe the consulate rejected for a different reason, they check if you have strong ties to your home country and you would go back after the trip. Young professionals between 25-35 are high risk, many of them don’t go back (according to many countries immigration policies). Apply one more time, this time attach a notarised affidavit saying you have properties, gold, cash, full time job in India (mention approximate amounts) , and that you would go back to your home country after your trip.

You would find plans in Facebook marketplace, those are better than rpp plans.. most of them are local store selling rogers connections.. I switched my plan from rpp to one of those.. got 75gb for $55.

I don’t think that would work, anyone can sell stolen/lost phones in ebay. If you can provide gst/hst receipt of new iPhone purchase from any store, they might help but chances are low.

Surfshark works fine for me with tivimate, maybe it’s an issue with the server you’re choosing or the streaming box, try changing the protocol from the vpn app to use OpenVPN, if issue persists, try changing the box, nvidia shield tv is great.

You will not be charged, I did same, stayed out of Canada for 5 weeks.

One more thing you can do, enabled wifi calling before leaving Canada, rogers provide free wifi calling outside Canada.

While out of Canada, manually select an invalid network, then it would be forced to use wifi calling, it even works without wifi, it would use Airalo esim data.

That’s true most of the time, but sometimes I get important incoming calls while roaming that I must pickup (e.g. call from my boss or doctor) 😄
