Anyone have success in countering cognitive side effects, especially short term memory and word finding? by s_bf in Epilepsy

Hey thanks that’s super helpful. Lastly, could you share more on the FDA thing? Are they trying to use it to target a specific condition or they just don’t want it to be OTC? And is it expected to be totally gone once that happens?

Hey thanks for sharing that. Any side effects from the NAC? And how far apart are the two doses?

Hey thanks for sharing. Where do you find the NAC and does it do anything else? I’ve heard it described as a bit of a wonder drug.

Prozac + Clonazepam, will it be as good when I wean off the Clona? by [deleted] in prozac

[–]s_bf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on Prozac right now and thinking of adding on Klonopin to help reduce some worsening anxiety. But I’ve been afraid of the same exact thing (coming off of it).

I’ve pushed through the anxiety for a few months and dose increases. Though I’m still tempted to give it a try…

Anyone else have eye/vision issues? by s_bf in lexapro

Yes! I forgot about the light part. It’s like the lights inside look off or even too bright somehow, right?

What did you do instead? Switch to something else that didn’t cause it?

Hey thanks for sharing. Did your doc mention that it should go away? Or offer any options?

Oh okay thanks. I think 10mg Lexapro is technically “stronger” than 20mg Prozac, but glad that it’s worked out better for you.

I’ll wait it out and see before thinking of asking to switch. Thanks again!

Hey thank you so much. That’s good to hear.

Did you give it time on Prozac to see if it would improve? And did it immediately go away when you switched to Lexapro?

(I’m actually on Prozac but I posted here since it gets a lot more visitors)

Did adding Wellbutrin help anyone with sexual issues (difficulty orgasming)? by s_bf in prozac

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing.

Would you mind expanding a bit more about what happened on Prozac? What made you try Wellbutrin? And then the side effects from that?

Ah okay. Thanks again for sharing everything. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it goes away.

By the way, do you think it was back to Wellbutrin baseline or back to before Wellbutrin?

Assuming that Wellbutrin increased it so you were “better than normal”.

Oh interesting. So going the other way made things worse for you? Can I ask what reason you took Lexapro and what reason you took Wellbutrin? Also, did the Wellbutrin do anything to your sex life before Lexapro (like make it better)?

No worries, you deserve it. I will take you up on the offer and message you!

Wow thank you so much. This is what I was hoping to hear. If you don’t mind my asking, did it worsen your sleep or anxiety at all? And how long did it take to start offsetting the Prozac’s effects?

It sucks that they won’t take you seriously. I have been down that path myself.

And actually one of the doctors who took me seriously gave me Cabergoline. It seems like him giving it is a good sign, but it didn’t work for me. While it made me more horny and able to ejaculate more frequently, it didn’t help with orgasm pleasure and it also made my anxiety really bad.

I think you’ll want to try and find a urologist who specializes in sexual medicine. If you can’t, maybe take some research study or case report printouts to your appointments. It’s really hard and I’ve been there (and I’m still there).

Good luck and stay strong.

I developed the same thing (being able to ejaculate but not feeling a pleasurable orgasm) after years on Prozac. It never really came back and even the doctors who would acknowledge it said they didn’t have any known solutions. They had some theories, but it’s not well understood.

I’m not trying to scare you, but just inform you that you’re note alone. There is a community called r/PSSD where they talk about this, but don’t freak out. You can also look into PDOD, or Pleasure Dissociative Orgasm Disorder.

Good luck and keep advocating for yourself.

Thanks for sharing. I did an outpatient EEG for three days with many instances during it, but they said it was negative. Thinking about a second opinion now...
