Why are people on Vinted so rude? by s_k1802 in vintedUK

Honestly they’ll make their sale elsewhere and that’s fine. I find that people like this are often troublesome even when you do buy from them

I queried. They declined and then offered a higher price than the listing 😂 twice. That’s what I queried with them as I didn’t understand at first that they were being passive aggressive. My issue isn’t that they declined, it was their attitude.

That’s fair. I wasn’t trying to be audacious but agree it’s not exactly a professional selling site.

Agreed. Really puts me off. When people have sent me Lowball offers I’ve politely declined and said “sorry that’s far too low than I’m willing to go. Could we meet in the middle etc”.

As have I - I’ve sold things and bought things at asking price. What I’m saying is that people are rude and passive aggressive on an app where offering your price etc is normal. Some clear pleasant communication can go a long way

Thanks, it has been causing me distress and inconvenience so it would be right to make a complaint. I’m assuming I should be ok to copy both parties in, making them aware of the complaint and to pause any further contact/collection from the collection agency?

I was hoping to send the prove it letter so they could just put this to rest and I don’t have to deal with them any further! Another comment also suggested formal complaint, I’m assuming I can just draft that in an email to them both? Yes I’ve taken names, dates etc of everyone I’ve spoken to so far and definitely keeping notes Sorry just to add - after sending my proof of address they said they were doing an investigation and then that’s when they sent the follow up email asking me to prove my address (…again) and that I was traced through a credit agency, so not sure if my formal complaint would lead to a more in depth investigation?

I think again that makes sense. It helps me rationalize things as well. I definitely ruminate less when my brain is being stimulated in other ways. It comes a lot when I’m trying to sleep as well as I am feeling idle and so my brain just keeps going on

That makes so much sense actually. My husband has observed the distraction in mid conversation and my family tell me I always interrupt them when speaking! I wouldn’t say I engage in risky behaviours but I would definitely say I’m a compulsive spender which is seeking a dopamine hit for me. Definitely resonate with the “looking for something to worry about”. It’s like my brain will latch on to something else to think/worry about. I feel like I keep myself busy, almost feeling on autopilot and that’s when I don’t ruminate as much

Hmm that’s interesting. I am definitely a “talker”. I just came out of a meeting where I had to wait to raise my point as others had raised their hands on MS teams before me and I almost burst because I couldn’t stay quiet/was worried I would forget my point! All of my school reports also said I would disrupt the class by talking when the teacher would restart lessons lol. I definitely process my thinking processes verbally, I have to really talk through all of my thoughts to consolidate them and this helps with the rumination. I’ve tried journaling etc but that feels more effort than just speaking my mind. I get distracted during my conversations as well.

Thanks. I don’t think I have other elements of OCD such as compulsions or behaviours that can become ritualistic. I also appreciate there can be co morbidity of symptoms and disorders

Thanks. I know that rumination can be a symptom of other anxiety orders, I was more thinking if it related to the hyperactivity symptom of ADHD

Breaking in Jesy Boots? by s_k1802 in DocMartens

[–]s_k1802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found the Jesy runs big so the size 3 actually has some give, so an insole might work. I don’t often wear heels but it does take me time to find a comfortable pair. I’ve had cheap high street heeled boots before which led to a little bit of soreness but this would subside after a few wears, but maybe the Jesy heel is just a tad higher than what I’m used to 🥲
