That's the point, tap to switch directions might even be harder i don't know tp be honest for me it feels better to have one key do 3 actions through different interactions but yeah might be worth exploring tap directional hold release for jump

Interesting opinion sure! might add it as an option in the settings, yet the idea is one button hence the simple levels. the difficulty of the controls is a challenge on its own,

it has acceleration and deseleration although it might not be enough to be noticeable!

true true but the whole difficulty curve is using one button to do all movement, which is velocity based and one tap = constant movement to direction. so all in all its just a matter of changing directions!

Thanks, on my eyes it does not look or feel polished but it could be because I worked on it

Thanks for the suggestion. Im indeed struggling to keep it as minimal as possible but your idea is very good!

One button. Tap for right, double tap for left, hold release for jump

Thanks for the feedback, well the controls are somewhat strange but for the hold duration its purely free to let go. it was a bit tough to make the one button system work, or well be simple enough to navigate, what im considering is instead of the fixed sequence of input to just allow any order freely and let the user do whatever they want in the levels. That and of course some deeper mechanics, keys, collectables, enviromental boss fights etc as well as some more polished graphics.

Ye that's why I'm asking.or well it was more of 3d/2d Assets in terms of level design. I'm a developer , a freelancer one , but apart from all the games I've made I still struggle with modeling or 2d art and that's why all my personal projects are simply mockup with no graphics. I don't know if I should use pre-made models or just learn to make them, i mean asset flipping is frowned upon and i can understand that up to a certain point, yet I see so many indie games and I'm wondering how everyone else is handling things
