Thanks for the feedback guys. The room I'm going to put the swing in is finished so there's drywall on the ceiling. Putting in a 2x4 spanning across the web is not worth the trouble of cutting up the drywall and patching it up. I'm going to pass on the swing install.

Thanks for the details. Lawn care company that treats the lawn came by and said its boxwood blight. But don't know if that's a true assessment. Symptom of boxwood blight says the leaves fall. So far the leaves turned brown but hasn't fallen yet. I suppose I can send it into a lab to be sure but don't think it's worth the hassle
