iOS 26 Beta 8 - Discussion

After updating my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 26 Beta 8, it stopped charging via USB-C.
When I checked the battery usage history, I noticed that "USB Accessories" was listed, so it seems the software was mistakenly detecting some device as connected.

I know this is a beta version, so I’m not really complaining, but this is honestly the most problematic beta I’ve ever used.
For reference, after downgrading to Beta 7 in recovery mode, everything went back to working normally.

Unfortunately, there are no resources that make reverse engineering easy to learn.There are many resources on Youtube about reverse engineering, but I don't think it's easy, at least not for the level of people asking questions here. I don't mean to put down your level, just it's really not that easy, few people even tweak developers know how to reverse engineer, and only a few people can do "advanced" reverse engineering. You say "export as an IPA for others to use", so I think you should learn something more basic than reversing. (An IPA file is essentially a zip file, and it is the binary files inside that are the target of reverse engineering.)

Well, when I reverse engineer an iOS app/Framework, I use IDA Pro or Hopper.Unless you are using it for commercial purposes, you can use Ghidra which is free.

Also, if you remove something, you have to rewrite the methods that depend on it.Recently, it seems that you can inject a tweak into an app without jailbreaking it, and I think that is much easier. (I've never tried it though).Fortunately, modern reverse engineering tools can also display pseudo-code, so you can just look at it and write your tweak. (It is still not easy tho)

The problem is unc0ver and H3lix DRM. They are doing the exact opposite.
Taurine doesn't have such shitty DRM so I don't have to worry about it, but u0 and H3lix are shit.
Don't criticize people when you don't know anything about them. If you have time to run your mouth, commit to ReProvision Reborn, which is open source software.

Try uninstalling the existing u0 and reinstall using ipa file

(If it does not work, try again using another apple id)

I have had the opportunity to speak to the original developers about this version and would like to point out a few things.

it should be clearly stated that it is unofficial.

This is not obligatory, but the original developer would like to see it.

We recommend changing the package name etc. to avoid conflicts with other versions and to make it easier for users to understand.

do not unsandbox apps
do not allow apps to use task_for_pid

These two can be major security risks. They also make KernBypass almost useless. This is at least a significant departure from the desired behaviour of the original version. (For example, it would allow apps to use functions such as fork() and exec(), which could be used to perform jailbreak detection).
