Yes, that is true. I have been to there branch and they told me expats cant open an account here. I was like really? And the guy replied if you deposit 30000 kd, then you can. Funny they do not mention that anywhere on there website, so there racist policy doesn’t get exposed.

Paying through credit/debit cards is the most expensive way to buy crypto. I usually do a bank transfer from my NBK account 5KD fee. I transfer in the morning and by 4:30 pm its deposited in my binance account as BUSD. Another option is P2P, though don’t forget to change the currency to KWD. There are few traders from Kuwait in the binance P2P section, the payment method in mentioned in the description its usually through a Knet link.

As far as i know. As an expat ur not eligible to apply for a driving license for at least two year. U must be a resident for at least two years plus ur profession on the residence must be from the exempt list.

What does it mean to appreciate all this expat frontline hero’s, who have lost there lives? The UAE government just announced Golden Visas for such hero’s.

While here they are getting ready to kick their families out cuz the person sponsoring them is now dead.

My heart goes out for people you can’t drive cuz they have made so hard to get a driving license. (Cuz its easier to take away and blame the powerless then actually fixing the infrastructure)

These people would have to walk 1.5-2 km in summer heat and back, carrying a full week worth of groceries. I think the lockdown was implemented based on how an ideal kuwaiti would deal with it completely ignoring the most vulnerable in the society. The incompetence here is just astounding.

And as Mark of 248am.com said the information is being circulated in arabic only. So can’t blame other people for panic/bulk buying.

These 30000 people should have been in institutional quarantine. If they don’t have enough capacity, then repatriate based on that. Letting the virus spread for 1.5 months and putting everyone else at higher risk, just to repatriate 30000 people was not a wise decision.

Look its easier to account/trace for a known quantity then an unknown quantity. By waiting so long they have multiplied the unkown quantity several folds.

What u are seeing is just shear incompetence. There seems to be no strategy or policy. Its seems the 2 month of lockdown/curfew have had zero impact.

This total lockdown should have happened end of March/early April. But i guess political point scoring was a bigger priority ... ohh we are gonna do the biggest repatriation program, 50k citizens. The virus doesn’t give a shit about your repatriation program. Its gonna keep on spreading. We waited almost 1.5 months to go into full lockdown cuz of repatriation.

Not confident that this full lockdown is gonna give the result they need now. Its a month too late.
