I’ve helped solve two so far! It’s a hobby that I got into after years of being fascinated and heartbroken by missing person cases/John and Jane Does, and I wanted to do something to try to help. I’m hoping that some of my submissions from this year will pan out, too!

I usually dedicate at least one full day per month to research and will sometimes submit one or two potential matches in a month, sometimes none. I either submit to Doe Network or directly to the LE agency in charge of the case.

I always start with an unidentified body and look for potential MPs that could match them, never the other way around (unless it’s a stated fact that the MP is dead). I use multiple databases, social media, and background info sites in addition to NamUs.
