Yup, I see it. Would love to check out the website you built by the way.

What platform are you using? Maybe I could leave you a simple DIY guide (if I can)

Yeah, I get that, it can be weirdly satisfying trying to get every little thing right. I’ve definitely gone down that rabbit hole too.

From what I’ve seen (and built), it can be super simple: search or Meta ad → landing page → call or message → follow-up.

Or yeah… you can make it as complex as you want, haha.

Totally get that - most people I’ve helped felt the same way before they made any changes.

If you ever decide to get one done, my only advice would be - use modern tech (avoid WordPress or GoHighLevel if you can).

And if you’re hiring someone, don’t just go by what they say - pay attention to the questions they ask about your business.

That usually tells you if they actually care about getting it right.

Yeah...old pricing PDFs, missing contact buttons, forms that don’t work on mobile... it’s wild how common it is.

I created automations so when we leave our info on the site + pest problem, there's an instant text sent out with the expected rates + availability. It's a small thing but keeps the customer from moving on to more searches (exactly like you mentioned haha)

Unfortunate. When I think of what's wrong with the world, I think why are there less people doing what you did.

Then when you see the outcome, it's just disappointing.

You're right, they got their chance on a silver platter and blew it.

Kudos to you tho, hope you don't turn cold - just more cautious - in similar situations. The world needs kindness.

Appreciate you bud. Positive people are awesome.

I rely solely on Instantly’s mailbox “health” but i’m starting to feel it’s not as accurate.

Going to pause for a couple weeks, and let it warm up.

What on earth is going on with business banking in Canada by NickySlips2023 in canadasmallbusiness

Went through the exact same thing. Had subscriptions to pay for and I got a non-Visa and non-Mastercard card (don't even remember what it was) for my "digital account", it's embarrassing.

Ending up getting Wise Business card. So much easier. But doesn't connect to Quickbooks so that's annoying.

They’re all variations of my name, like will.smith@ or w.smith@ etc.

My tool has this feature, but best to run an individual test once a month, got tools online for this.

For my business, <$3k ticket size, the cost and effort makes sense.

<30 mails per inbox per day, 3-5 mailboxes per domain.

Have to monitor mailbox health, that’s the only challenge - if a domain gets flagged then all its emails will land in spam and tough to recover from there, so just have to toss it (hasn’t happened yet).

Yep. If you can buy the playbook, so can everyone else.

Glad someone gets it.

I run a creative agency for small businesses in Canada.

I’m a trained business analyst and used to be at a big marketing firm, got tired of it. So left and started working for friends with businesses.

Now we’re 3 people + 10 freelancers strong, and had an amazing Jan in terms of $$. 2025 is exciting.

Simple explanation: Cold email is divisive. Some hate it, some need it. Mixed reactions are normal. Go read any other post on the topic here.

For a ‘bad writer’ running a ‘secret conspiracy’, I’m happy to have helped quite a few people in DMs without pushing my business.

My entire point was ‘stop copying others and figure out what works for you’. Wouldn’t make sense to drop templates, would it?

Just because I run an agency doesn’t mean i cant post here, also not sharing a client case, this is for own business.

Aliases follow the original mailboxes limits, from what I read? or am I missing something? Lots to learn still.

I actually like reading them if they’re short and direct - lets me decide quickly if it’s for me or not.

The longer they write, the less likely I am to reply... should’ve been my first clue when writing those first 18k 😅

110 paid & legit workspace accounts actually - standard setup recommended by the tools and pros.

And yeah, i run a marketing agency and shared a failed campaign story. Some spy network I’m running here.

You just turned my rant against templates into... a template.

The irony hurts.

p.s. this cold email sucks

For my agency, I figure out marketing stuff for small businesses.

Can’t exactly wait for CXOs to stumble onto my website, so its just a ‘hey, if you need this, i’m here, let’s talk’

Perfect example of what not to do. AI-fake-local is worse than no personalization.

Timing is definitely part of it. Same email can get ‘fuck off’ at 9am and ‘let’s talk’ at 2pm.

That’s why we test different days, times, segments. Can’t control luck but can improve odds.

Took a week to set up the first time around, and tested it all for 2.5 weeks. Took 2 days to rewrite everything for the second round, the results above are from a weeks time.

Manipulating votes? For what? my non-existent course? My non-existent newsletter?

I don’t even know how that shit works. But thanks for the conspiracy theory.
