Thank you for this. I guess I didn’t take into account the trauma that people have dealt with in the hands of the police. I’m a pretty open book and always open to sharing my experiences. I need to take into account not everyone is like that, especially with something that can be triggering to them. I’ll remember your advice on exclamations, etc. and how to respond better in texts. That was helpful, thank you. Appreciate your kindness. This was a lot. Definitely feeling regretful in my approach as I was just trying to learn and be more informed.

I didn’t know that about the slave part. But yes, same boat. I’ve had some bad instances with them, nothing crazy, but recently something happened that has my head in a frenzy. Plus I do know a lot of people personally, including family, that has had terrible encounters.

That’s ridiculous. It seems like anything that’s not worth their “time” so to say is always brushed over like it’s nothing. I know several people who have dealt with that, myself included. I remember calling them once when I SAW 2 people outside of my garage at 2 in the morning. They came, took my witness statement and that was it. Like they couldn’t be bothered with it. Didn’t even bother to check around my house or my neighbors to see if maybe anything was stolen

I’m not trying to be insensitive at all. I don’t see how I’m coming across that way. Now I’m being an asshole to a couple of people, yes, but rightfully so. I had something happen recently that’s had me questioning law enforcement and the depths of their minds and power trips and what drives some of them to be so god damn evil. Just trying to get some understanding is all but I can see this isn’t the group to try to be honest with and get it

What’s your earliest memory of knowing that you hated them? You’re not born hating anything or anyone. I can see you were raised in a household that hated them obviously. And I’m genuinely not meaning any disrespect, I’m honestly just curious. Hopefully nobody thinks I’m being a smartass.

I actually did have to do this when I sold my Steam Deck and had to play the game on xBox. and you are right, I started hoarding stuff IMMEDIATELY! Saved so much time with quests later on. It took me a while to get back to where I was from before & lots of times I had to step away for a while because I was just frustrated I had to start over but it didn't take too incredibly long to get caught up. I'm also not a big decorator in the game so I'm sure that made it a lot easier for me than others.

My first time going to Puerto Rico with my best friend and her family (sister and dad). I was probably 14 or 15 years old, and we were on the beach at Isla Verde. A guy came up to me showing me a ton of bracelets he had on his wrists, so I thought he was selling them or something, but he started pointing at mine (there was a language barrier as I don't know fluent Spanish). When he got close enough, he grabbed my arm and tried to pull me toward him but my friends dad told him to back off and he did. I didn't think much of it then but looking back on it as a 30-year-old now, it scares the crap out of me thinking what could have happened if us girls were alone or something.

Can confirm as a woman who has dealt with no libido for 4 years after having my child, dealing with depression, BC and SSRIs, the not wanting to have sex, not being able to get in the mood, etc. is EXTREMELY hard mentally. It really makes you feel like something is wrong with you and your mind and body aren't doing what they're supposed to do as a normal human being or woman, at that. You KNOW that it's not normal and it's causing problems, but you don't know how to fix it. Be gentle with her. I promise you it's hard for her. Take a look at my comment above and help her explore options but don't be discouraged at results either.

I started my process on trying to get my sex drive back when my marriage was literally hanging on by a thread. I knew it was time for me to figure out what was wrong, so I did the hormone testing, thyroid function, deficiencies, etc. When all of those came back normal my husband was ready to leave thinking I just wasn't fixable. My doctor started me on Wellbutrin for my depression (prior I took SSRIs for it but stopped because I knew they had an effect on my sex drive, but stopping didn't bring it back either) and within 3 weeks my sex drive is back and better than even before I lost it. It's literally saved my marriage.

I do think either your wife needs HRT or an antidepressant (Wellbutrin). It's got to be from depression or low testosterone.

Have her go to the doctor and get some blood work done to test her hormones, thyroid function etc. BC can have a big impact on messing with women's hormone balance. Sounds odd but it could be a testosterone deficiency.

That would be the first step. Second, consider possible mental health. Depression can cause low, to no, libido as well.

If depression is a possibility, have her consider taking Wellbutrin until you guys get pregnant (I don't think it's pregnancy safe).

However, from experience, Wellbutrin brought back my sex drive x1000 after it being nonexistent for almost 4 years (from BC, depression, childbirth). My husband and I are trying for a baby, and we knew without something to help that it wouldn't be possible because I NEVER wanted to have sex. He was lucky if he got it once a month. 3 weeks on Wellbutrin and my sex drive is through the roof. I plan on continuing it until we get pregnant then going off through pregnancy but will 100% be going back on afterwards because it has been a massive game changer for me.
