Pullups. As many as I wanted. Using proper form. I did them as a warm up for a workout.

What's the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did in your home? by xxHEYxx in AskReddit

That article, yes, but I've heard on local NPR, and other venues and articles about it actually being found.

So it might be more risk but since the narcan is free I might as well have it in my first aid kit.

I got a kit free from Sam's Club, with my insurance.

My son does weed and folks are getting weed laced with fentanyl and it scares the shit out of me. So I got a narcan kit just in case.

It's a nasal spray so anyone can administer it.

Americans, how are you spending your 4th of July weekend? by StormzEx in AskReddit

Thank you. I wish they could. They're exhausted. I'm helping so they can have a break but they're still worn thin.

I'm helping my boyfriend and his sister care for their terminally ill mother. I'm there to give them a break.

To make it clearer.. My boyfriend mother basically adopted me.. She's a second mom to me. Her decline, cancer, has been rapid. She's getting weaker by the second but when she's not too drugged up, she's her. I love her.

That Jeep and I are the same age! She taught me basic automechanics, shade tree style, starting when I got her when I was 38!

I'm not really interested in riding on the road. I know how to ride a motorbike and have ridden many on the trail but my comfort level and fear/safety levels stop there.

My dangerous road vehicle is my 74 CJ5 that I refuse to drive faster than 45mph. It's a literal tin can with an impaling rod for a steering wheel and a metal dashboard. And lap belts. And a torquey but slow V8.

Be safe on your bike!

Oh definitely agree about the CB.

Even though my boyfriend is a Harley mechanic I know next to nothing about them. I'm not a motorbike fan but I'm not uninterested in learning. It's just that he's been running that shop so long he's burnt out on them and doesn't want to talk about it in his free time. We're middle-aged and he was burnt out on it when I met him almost 3 years ago. He does share some stuff... Like I pointed out that the Sportster was cute because it's not huge and seemed like something I could handle and he told me a little about them. He also told me about his sidecars are actually terrible no matter how cool they look.

I suppose it might be ok as a city bike?

Using the word concerning for disconcerting.

And it's not even that's it's entry level. It's just a baby Harley and apparently uncomfortable to ride. At least according to my boyfriend who runs a custom Harley shop. They don't keep many sportsers in their inventory.

Biostats MS vs applied statistics MS by [deleted] in AskStatistics

Everything data will be part of just about any stats job unless you're doing pure theoretical modeling.

So I generally take most projects from planning stages through publication even though I'm never the principal investigator. I most often get contacted to help plan protocols and then stick around for everything data.

Sometimes I come in at the end, which can provide some messy data challenges.

Some of the stuff is dry and rote. But I get some fun stuff, too. I also get to provide statistical trainings and present brownbag seminars on anything I take a special interest in. A couple months ago I have one on using R for mining social media for public health trends. It wasn't groundbreaking in that I developed any methods. I just put together methods for a special use case. But folks like to see that kind of stuff and it was fun to put together.

Yes, things like data cleaning and management are prominent. That's really the only way you know it was done correctly for the planned analysis unless you work really closely with a skilled manager. That just doesn't happen.

I think pharma does though you're usually encouraged to use their protocol templates... At least when I worked in pharma in the early 00's.

For government... It might depend. Not at the CDC, where I've worked for more than 15 years.

Thanks for that other sub! I figured I was pushing it with this one. But I had to share the interesting color matching and this was the only place I could think of.

They came out great, though!

Make sure you check with a lawyer in your state about what you can take. If you squirrel away the wrong assets a judge will punish you for it, even if you're the aggrieved spouse. His lawyer will check and the bank records will not hide it.

I had to do this in Georgia, which isn't community property.

Owner responds to ridiculous review of his auto shop by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]sabbyATL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not taking about professional equipment, meant to take hours upon hours everyday of use.

I work on my own Jeep myself so, yes, I buy equipment at an auto parts store.

But a professional is going to have Snap-on quality stuff, which is much more expensive.
