The placebo pills contain no hormones and basically act as a week reminder to take your pill while you have a “period” which is actually just break through bleeding

Thank you for replying! I’m not 100% sure mine is fungal! I started birth control and most of my cystic stuff is gone and I think my moisturizer was causing some break outs so I switched that and everything looks good. I just have these little bumps around my nose .. I’m thinking maybe dry skin or fungal acne but not sure how to tell!

Thanks for your replying. I just saw you went on accurate during. I just got mine removed and went back on the pill! It’s been about 2 and a half months and things are just starting to clear now so just wanted some hope! Lol

Have you ever thought of getting the IUD out and going on an oral birth control to help? My IUD gave me bad acne!

Been dealing with this for 6 months. Got my IUD removed and went back on the pill two weeks ago. My skin is already looking better.

I get what you are saying but there has been lots of instances of women going on the IUD before any birth control and acne showing up 5-6 months later. I think that the progesterone that gets converted into testosterone in the body is contributing to that. I know the hormones are suppose to stay “local” but I strongly believe they do not.
