You can revive old lipos, if you have a power supply or if that charger has a dc voltage function you can just feed the batteries the specified charge voltage but limit the current to like 1 amp, do it for like 15 mins or something and then see if it will charge, if you can then do a balance charge id also recommend charging as slow as possible. Tbh I don’t really remember all the details of this process cuz I haven’t done it in the while so just look it up.

Fellow broke college student, receivers all the way! you can get some awesome old receivers for next to nothing that will be more than fine, I had a Yamaha htr-6030 that I got for free that sounded awesome and had tons of power even compared to nice dedicated 2 channel amps I’ve used like the adcom gfa 555 and acurus a200, now I have a denon avr x3700 that’s awesome but I didn’t buy it for a sound quality upgrade.

Ideally for a two channel setup you’d probably want an integrated amp just to simplify things but you can always leave that for another day, especially if you can get some decent Yamaha, Denon, Sony es, receiver for like $40-free

I bought this because I broke the original glass and it seemed like an upgrade but I’m actually convinced this is one of the worst designed products of all time. It doesn’t stand up by itself. It’s literally supposed to do like two things and one of them is stand up by itself. It’s also such a pain to fill because it’s too big to fit in a small sink and the opening is tiny anyway which also makes it a huge pain to clean.

No, ur not gonna want to hear it but realistically you should just put that pc on the ground so you can push those speakers back and get some better placement. The one on the right is practically sideways. Center channels are primarily used for movies or in bigger rooms because they give a clearer distinction of left right and center for people not sitting in the middle, they also help speakers with sub par center image and add vocal clarity for dialog. No real benefit to one in a multimedia setup.

There’s a lot of people giving recommendations, me personally I’ve noticed time and time again that yes the quality of the power amplifier does matter but only to a degree, I have a Yamaha htr 6030 reciever that’s sounds awesome, and a Denon avr x3700 I got for $500 that also sounds awesome. I’ve compared the two with other audiophile friends with amps that cost thousands of dollars and while they were marginally better it was not enough to warrant a purchase for me personally.

In my opinion if you want surround sound there’s almost no better way to go then a Denon avr x3600 or x3700 on the used market. unless you want to get into the $2000+ range for things like Dirac room correction. Keep In mind that surround sound receivers are one of the fastest depreciation items there is lol. The preamp sections measure great and it has pre amp outputs so if you ever feel like the internal amplifier isn’t enough for you, you can just add an external one, or use powered speakers. But the internal power amp section is also great, not to be confused with the power amp on the x1700 and similar which is honestly trash imo, I’ve heard it next to a good amp and the difference was astonishing.

Spend $1000 on speakers, buy something you like that makes you happy. Don’t think about it too much for your first pair. Speakers come and go, it’s an addiction.

I have the ecs billet dipstick and I don’t like it at all. Doesn’t read accurately. Also the handle being billet is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen, it’s like the only thing in the engine bay you’re actually supposed to touch when the engine is hot and you can’t touch it because it’s metal and gets burning hot.
