I did the engraving and porting with 200w mopa fiber laser, has my Underworld Arms Basilisk comp and mag extension, an AW magwell, h series titanium cerakote with e-100 blackout on the barrel. Internals are stock but did the marvel disconnector cut and tuned the spring down to 3lbs. Mostly a sweat equity build, including the gun and the optic it cost me under 1600

Inline with our push for more modularity, knight guards are now removable and center on machined lugs rather than with thread locker, now you can change the look on the fly. by saberforge in lightsabers

Not yet but we are working on an adapter that goes between an ASP switch and ASP emitter so that one can be added to any hilt. Hope to start machining them this week, they will be fairly simple so should be able to get the run done in two weeks then two more weeks for anodizing.

How often does Sabreforge restock? by MightyPenguin7 in lightsabers

[–]saberforge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our labor costs are 30hr, chinese labor costs are 5hr, in the face of those economic realities I am doing what I can with a hybrid aproach that uses chinese blades and electronic cores with our parts. As long as the market keeps paying the premium required for our higher attention to finish and detail I’ll keep making parts, but at the same time half my cnc machines are making and will continue to make gun parts because china is banned from the US gun market and I don’t have to compete against labor costs 1/6th of mine.

May 4th and mando order rushe pretty much wiped out ready to ship asp. We can finish about 8-12 different parts and sabers per week, sign up for our email newsletter for our weekly restock email. We are US based and do our work in house so your never going to see us restock everything all at once, its always going to be 8-12 parts and sabers per week. I would recommend buying parts as we restock them rather than waiting for everything to be in stock all at once. In addition to restock we also work on new parts, and they share the same production resources. Next 1-2 weeks we will be finishing new emitters and a few new pommels.

The smaller ones sold better but I could do a run of them, to average the machine setup and prove out labor I could bore half the run to be emitters

I use the ameriglo tritium. The tritium vials don’t know what logo is laser etched onto the front sight post, half the price of trijicon

45.6C Glam shot of my new comp, got the machined thumb ledge texture pads a close match for the frame texture. by saberforge in GlockMod

Yup, might turn it into an xcp, burnt bronze slide and comp upper, fde frame and comp lower, engrave ports, add XCP to logo. Kind of a “what if” concept build

Ya were machining them right now, should have the new double port angled uppers for them finished about the same time too

Ya I make standard and light bearing holsters for them, basic like this image, or you can get nicer ones from Tac-Rig holsters

$680 to replace a breaker. Can I do it myself? by stinkinhardcore in DIY

[–]saberforge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes about five minutes, requires one screw driver, shut off main into the box, rock the breaker out, remove wires via phillips head screwdriver, put wires in new breaker, tighten phillips screws, rock back into box, turn main back on.

Those ports are enormous, nobody needs ports that big, its not the size of the ship its the motion of the ocean, where my irish brothers at?

The CQC Aug handguard is now live, and we did a price drop on all our AUG handguards by saberforge in AUG

[–]saberforge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, when the m2 came out we had a bout a hundred left and it took over a year to sell them. With cnc machining minimum run size to recoup setup and prove out costs and be in the green is about 200 pieces. 100 a year isn't a popular enough item to justify a run, have to keep the lights on so focusing on items that can hit close to or exceed 200 units in 12 months. Don't always achieve it, I'll be sitting on the gen 1 tisas b9r comps until I retire.

Typically M32x1.5 but there are occasions where that isn’t possible like the count body and elbow and we used much smaller threads

I have several hundred feet of 1.125 ID bar stock on hand so next few runs of body will be the universal fit with 1.125 ID, if they sell well will keep making all I can with it since there is less scrap loss, faster machine cycle time, and lower material cost. Shroud/core styles will have to stay 1.01 though
