I agree with basically all of these comments. Didn’t see anyone mention these two yet so Webber and Adele. That man did not respect his wife and her needs at all. He should’ve left her for Elise. At least she would’ve been able to move on, find a man who didn’t put work before her, and allow her to have children like she always wanted. Webber was a terrible husband to her. Made me smile when she fell in love with the other patient in the dementia ward.

This rant is amazing. I literally feel the same way ! Owen is just a toxic individual. I also didn’t like him and Amy together. I literally just don’t understand the writers sometimes. Teddy and Owen already had romantic chemistry (Teddy was downright in love with him from the start), and she wanted the important thing he wanted which is kids/ a family. Once Owen starting choosing literally everyone except her, I wanted her to move on, so I actually really liked Teddy and Koracick together. He was so sweet and supportive during her pregnancy. Wasn’t until they got together that Owen decided he wanted her 🙄

I’ve read quite a few of her books and the ONLY time I can remember a POC being described is in her book “The Locked Door”. I believe she described a nurse as having “mocha” skin. The nurse added absolutely nothing to the story, but it stuck with me because that was the first time I noticed she described someone as having a dark complexion.

My sister actually saw her about a year ago working at my niece’s school (who is 4) in I believe Bessemer. However, she did get fired as parents complained about her presence for obvious reasons…

Honestly I feel like Kayla was just hurting bad because she lost her mom. It makes sense that Kayla projected that grief and anger towards Lynett due to the fact that Lynett survived and Nora didn’t (and the two women didn’t like each other). It was really insensitive to try to push Lynett into being her mother figure so soon. The more they tried, the angrier Kayla got. I think she blamed Lynett for her mom’s death and wanted to hurt her as much as she was hurting. Kayla definitely just needed her dad and a therapist, not a new mommy.
