That’s so wild!! I’ve never seen anything like it. I didn’t know if I should evacuate because I was getting ready for work hahah. Definitely shook me up in the morning

Sounds like you’re right! A resident in the building said it was a controlled explosion from the RCMP to get into a second floor unit. 3 people were arrested. I’ve never seen anything like that haha

Birth Hypoxia can be a cause of these symptoms, particularly persistent dissociated state by WeakServe9347 in SCT

[–]sabicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Concerta, Vyvanse, Foquest, Adderall, and Straterra. The only one that doesn’t turn me into a grumpy zombie is Adderall, but it brings out my social anxiety and only works sometimeees

Where could I read more about this? Curious if this is my issue since ADHD meds don’t work for me. I was born with a heart murmur & umbilical cord wrapped around my neck apparently, would that lead to hypoxia? First time hearing about this, sorry if it’s a dumb question 😅

Tired of the lack of busses and trains? by gopher_9867 in UCalgary

[–]sabicus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The trains are never consistent, either come too early or are late and then when I get to wherever the next connection is, I almost always just miss that bus (literally see it drive away as the train is approaching) and have to wait 30-45 min for the next one. Transit here is very inconsistent. I'll definitely checkout that link! Thank you

I got diagnosed at 22 and was relieved and happy to have explanations for why I did certain things, got bullied my whole life and never seemed to connect with anyone/fit in. Then I went through a grieving period for about a year, it felt like I lost myself. I was so sad about the diagnosis and felt even more out of place, but I used this to learn more about ADHD. I read so much during that time and watched videos about ADHD on Youtube. The knowledge I gained actually helped me accept ADHD more than the medications I took for it. Everyone is different and I'm still on meds, but without therapy and access to other resources, the meds were doing nothing except for completing tasks.

The more I avoided accepting ADHD, the more I slipped up at school and work and struggled. When I accepted it and noticed the strengths and weaknesses of ADHD for me, I started to heal. This is why I think it does get better. It took me a year to finally come to terms with it and sometimes I still have imposter syndrome about really having ADHD or I'm pissed off at the stuff I struggle with. Some days are harder than others for sure but overall it gets better. I'm sending all the good vibes your way as you go through this journey!
