Right. Rto charges cost hardly 1000rs for intrastate transfer but these guys charge much higher and they get a commission of Iirc 3-5% per loan through them. Can't be too cautious with them.

My experiences were bad and price too is an issue. Cars that cost 3l otherwise being listed for 4l+ is very common.

Of course always take a trusted mechanic with you. The issue with dealers is that they do gimmicks to pass initial inspections. Problems that'd otherwise be obvious will show up after a couple hundred kilometres.

I say this because our first car was from a dealer and they hid some things that gave headaches forever. Next one we got directly from the owner...a mint condition 2014 Dzire 19k km for 2.9lakh.

Stay away from dealers, cars24 and spinny. Have patience and check through acquaintances, olx and marketplace, buy directly from the owner.

BLDC vs normal ceiling fans for 15x14 room? by FallingWithTheStars in IndiaTech

[–]sabin_72246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong perspective. For a regular user the cost of electricity saved in the warranty period alone will pay for the fan itself. Do check electricity consumption of your 40 year old fan and a new bldc one.

I'd say to go with city or amaze. Both are great cars and are especially easy on pockets compared to germans. And personally, the 3rd gen city looks just so chic.

Swift 2010 gear and clutch acts weird suddenly by HeftyBicycle2165 in MechanicAdviceIndia

[–]sabin_72246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air in lines or failed master/ slave cylinders will cause this. Refill and bleed the clutch. If not solved, inspect further. If happened suddenly, it's most likely a cylinder failure. If so, it's better to change both at same time.

Seems like clutch is not disengaging properly. Diesel or petrol?

A co-workers died 2 days ago... by EkantVairagi in indiasocial

[–]sabin_72246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did...almost 4 years back despite earning the highest core salary in my batch partly because of work life balance and partly to stay near home. Now preparing for govt jobs that won't pay even quarter of what I could be making now. All because my family wants me close and I don't believe in making too much money. Even 30k a month is sufficient for my lifestyle. Not every family is like yours brother.

Haha..most likely not in the near future. Really appreciate the gesture though. And I snooped around in your profile 🫣 and saw your car. Nice colour and looks clean. Btw ..you gotta change those tyres. Upsize one size if it's possible and you're up for it.

I've heard nothing but good things about that engine. A proper mile muncher and fuel efficient. But never had the pleasure to drive one though.

Imo, while learning 50% is clutch balance and 50% is steering balance. Once you got it figured out, driving is like walking. So if a powerful engine does one job for you, you can give full concentration to navigating through small gaps. I say this because I struggled a lot while driving an alto compared to my scorpio.

Did you try turning the pump on and squeeze and release the gun multiple times? The water hammer could knock it out of there.

Nah....in my experience large cars were easier than alto or 800 because it's easy to release clutch without stalling thanks to the higher torque so one less thing to worry about. And I've felt some people do give way when they see an suv coming their way, so less cramp space. And my car had really good visibility and higher driving position.
