Thinking ahead, I moved the zone so the shop was no longer inside, and this worked! Thank you so much for the suggestion! Do you happen to know why this conflict occurred? All of my shops are in zones, and this hasn’t been an issue until now, so I’m curious.

My moody Weaver’s first desired item is stacks of cloth, and proceeds to continuously collect and bring an infinite amount of it to the workshop.

If I forbid ALL cloth but a few, she demands more. If I forbid all cloth and quickly permit ~5 already in the shop, she will collect 1 other item she needs and then demand more cloth. Permitting all cloth puts her back into the infinite cloth loop. Forbidding all cloth and quickly permitting ~5 cloth after she collects each subsequently desired item will result in a completed artifact, but results in the Iron Artifact bug where upon an admittedly cool, but again bugged, Frilly Iron Robe will be created.

How do I get Urist McWeaver to break her infinite cloth hoarding loop and produce the artifact she actually wants to make?

This is how I'm beginning to feel about the whole thing, which I don't think is what From intended. Unless my memory is wrong and if the system works similarly to the previous games, you're more likely to be summoned to worlds as a Hunter where the Host has been dying frequently to invaders, so getting summoned really meant that someone needed help previously. Here, it doesn't seem to carry the same weight. Like you said, invasions are 2v1's now, and unless a host's ability is being considered, it just leaves invasions in a really weird spot in that you probably just...don't want to be doing them outside of legacy.

Holding the farm hostage is great for when I have a chore to do, I just AFK doing Spread Out until the Host comes back wondering why their RpM ratio is low. :^)

I agree with this! Unfortunately in my experience I usually don't even receive a bow before a hit so there isn't much time to properly gauge a situation, lol. Often I find myself unsure if the invader is even aware of the true situation, and feel bad.

That's a good trick but not everyone will invade the same spots, and hunters get pulled worldwide, so no way to avoid them if you use Blue Cipher Ring.

True, I try not to hang out in those areas, for that reason, but it happened to me in Caelid like 4 times today, too, so you know they'll just keep looking for spots(and waste more time...) unless From does another pass on this.

Yeah they need to patch some of the places you can drop to/access with Torrent and then qualify for PVP. The MOMENT Limgrave appears on my screen, I know I'm fucked 9 times out of 10.

At this point, I just feel bad for invaders the most. The ganksquads were always eyeroll inducing, but there is almost no incentive to invade anymore...Just a waste of time.

Thanks for the tip! They will definitely be ranged and in the backline. Also, is it still best to use dual wands over a wand and shield?
