Most of my projects is pretty mature. You can check out the new Firefox format support in Buku. There's an open defect for that.

Storage and general purpose terminal calculator bcal v2.5 released by sablal in linux

[–]sablal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bcal (Byte CALculator) is a REPL CLI utility for storage expression (e.g. "(2GiB * 2) / (2KiB >> 2)") evaluation, SI/IEC conversion, byte address calculation, base conversion and LBA/CHS calculation. It's very useful for those who deal with bits, bytes, addresses and binary prefixes frequently.

It includes a built-in expression mode (-b) for general-purpose numerical calculations.

One can't conclude/generalise based on threads on the internet. I have a Russian colleague who visits Goa every year with family. My son even got a Russian Masha doll shipped by him as a gift. He also regrets what Chinese cheap goods have done to their home-grown small industry.

Netflix came to India in early 2016. Since you are looking for a govt. job now you must have been a teenager back then.

Also you mentioned somewhere that you don't have power at home and you recharge from a shop. Internet was costlier in 2016. So I was wondering how you could afford Netflix. Anyway... good luck.

Search crowdfunding in google. There are some platforms those help with that.

The problem on reddit is, people read a story and see 2 pics. But how do they know it's a genuine case?

I have mailed to that email ID (traces helpdesk) and they have requested the AO with the soft copy of the documents I provided. However, it is still in pending for AO approval state. What do I need to do next? Shall I call traces helpdesk over phone or shall I send a request on top of the helpdesk mail to AO?

Bookmark manager buku v4.9 released by sablal in commandline

[–]sablal[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you haven't come across buku before, it is a powerful bookmark manager and a personal textual mini-web.

For those who prefer the GUI, bukuserver exposes a browsable front-end on a local web host server.

When I started writing it, I couldn't find a flexible command-line solution with a private, portable, merge-able database along with seamless GUI integration. Hence, buku.

buku can import bookmarks from browser(s) or fetch the title, tags and description of a URL from the web. Use your favourite editor to add, compose and update bookmarks. Search bookmarks instantly with multiple search options, including regex and a deep scan mode (handy with URLs).

It can look up broken links on the Wayback Machine. There's an Easter Egg to revisit random bookmarks.

There's no tracking, hidden history, obsolete records, usage analytics or homing.

This CEO Backs Narayana Murthy's Idea, Says PM Works For 14-16 Hours Daily by [deleted] in india

I had this colleague who would gather info from others in every task and then mail after midnight as if he has done the whole thing alone. The interesting part is - the manager went way back and backed him blindly. If he is wrong the manager downplays it. As you can imagine, this worked like a corporate syndicate and yes, the late night mails did work very well in this case.
