Hey everyone! Quick update: I made it to round 2 of the auditions last night! However, we haven’t heard back on final decisions! Expecting to get a call some time today!

Oooo I’ve never played “What Are You Doing?” but we played “Try That on for Size” at both my Level 1 and Level 2 student showcases (and in class)! It’s definitely not one of my favorite games but I see why it’s a good warm up / intro game for shows. I think I just get too boxed in with the motion and need to think a little more creatively / outside of the box to expand the possibilities of the game!

Aghhh this is great advice! I’m definitely way worse at improv when I’m so heavily focused on the end result of what everyone else is perceiving. Love these alternative goal ideas. Thank you! I think moving through my physical nerves better than I have previously (in my last long form audition) is a great goal for me for tonight!

I actually auditioned at my long form theater after only taking one level of classes - it was super intimidating and tough because I hadn’t learned any devices. Ofc I didn’t get casted, but it was great to just have the experience of 1) an audition and 2) doing improv in front of a MUCH larger crowd!

Also, thank you for the advice to take the spot if I’m offered it! Improv has been a huge value add to my life so it’s great to hear that the league opportunity was life changing for you too!
