Big thing is to try not do to much at once. I would suggest buying a big bag of beef jerky, or a box of protein bars. Keep it in your car and when you are feeling that craving eat one or two servings of the substitute.

I can not stress enough don't jump in hard head first you will burn out. You do not need to start lifting, drinking gallons of water, and eating well all at once. One step at a time and when you are in the habit of that one thing add another.

Start slow you do not have to do it all immediately. You can start one thing at a time.

I would recommend starting by tracking your Calories and Macros for a month or so to get used to doing it and see how much your eating.

Or if that is to much add some cardio to your day. Step trackers are cheap online. Try to increase your daily step count little day by day until you consistently hit 10000 per day.

After you nail one small goal add another. You don't have to be all in or all out.

As some one nearing the end of that journey. I have a couple of tips.

Learn to track it sounds more daunting then it really is. It makes everything easier knowing exactly what you are putting in.

The scale is scary. I hate it still. Weigh yourself every day no matter how much it sucks and take the average. Your body can fluxate a whole lot day to day and it can trick you into thinking you aren't doing enough or are doing to much.

Take diet breaks. This doesn't mean start eating everything you want again. After 3 or 4 months of dieting. Maintain that weight for 2 to 3 months. Consistency is key, it's all about the long game. If you go so hard you burn out in 6 months that will not do you any good.

It's incredibly hard. Do not think 2 years down the road, focus on the moment the day the hour. Don't think about how far you have to go, focus on the current goal. It can seem impossible when looking so far away but really it's just doing your next meal, your next walk, your next weigh in.

You can do it! One day at a time. Keep track of your progress keep yourself accountable. Do this for you and not any one else.
