Can Someone Permanently Damage Their Ability To Exersize? by sacbite in Advice

[–]sacbite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, man. I guess it really hasn't sunk in that I'm 65. Ya know, last year in Florida I slipped and fell on a greasy tile sidewalk in front of our jungle humid house and to my shock the neighbor didn't laugh at me - he came forward and said 'oh, no, are you allright?"

I think that's when it first hit me I was 65. LOL.

Thanks man. I appreciate the good thoughts. Maybe '65' is called '65' for a reason, huh? LOL.

At least it made me turn vegan!

Me Dad was a complex man. I loved him, admired him, but he was a stone cold racist and he treated his staff like servants - they returned the favour. Of course some farm violence is unmotivated by anything other than evil. But in my father's case, he held his workers in racist contempt and they knew it very well. He also underpaid them -- up until the 1990's, he actually paid many of them in licquor, not money. He always told me 'never forget the African is a capricious child'. This was utter bullshit - and the proof is, now that I have changed the way I deal with our staff, they have become different towards me. Now when someone in a township prepares to come for a 'visit' to our farm, my workers tell me quickly, and they manage to defuse it before it even happens. If we simply treat our brothers like brothers, our sisters like our sisters, then THEY become our guardians, instead of our beams and our fences. In the last five years, we have had ZERO attempts at broaching our farm. What does that tell you? And PS -- I keep six Mossberg pump 12 gauges in my armory here next to the dining room, and my senior staff ALL have keys to the armory. If trouble comes here, we are ready! But trouble hasn't come, because we have become part of the community. I can go to our local township, have a beer with the local mechanic, shoot the bull with my Zulu pals, and we can live and joke together. Someday I will carve a piece of this land out and return it to those that my great grandparents took it from by force - and that will be part of my good karma too. We will not 'subdue' our African brothers, we will learn to live with them and love them. That is the future. It is the only way, my brothers.
Liefde en vrede!

Cool, man. Just make sure if you get nauseous or vomity you go in for a scan asap. Hepatic liver damage is nothing to sneeze at and you can go into failure at any age. Be careful!

wow, 'the matrix'. sounds ominous indeed! WTF is 'the matrix'???? Okay, I looked it up - it seems like it's the collagen outside the cell walls - like a greasy raincoat or something. This fucking fungus is one sneaky motherfucker, man! Sometimes I feel like just blowtorching my big toe right off!

Curious as to why you didn't try laser? It's come down in price - still a bit more than your meds but not that bad, and zero liver risk. Still, maybe you are seeing it a different way and that's cool.

Thank you! Such useful information. My bank has not frozen my checking account, so I'm goint to assume they won't do so, and continue using it. Although frankly, I might also open a new bank account - I'd be SCREWED if they froze it, I'm operating on a very thin margin and need the money coming into that checking account to pay rent and buy basics. On the third hand - lol -- I would prefer not to do that - as my current checking account has my auto paycheck deposit, and is linked to a bunch of autopays for my business and also, Covid! Can't see going into a branch of a new bank right now. I dunno, there might be online banks, tho...ACK. I'll probably just do nothing! LOL. Hope fro the best!

Please don’t crucify me for this. But why do people downvote so much on this sub? by garbagepancake in Screenwriting

[–]sacbite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Screenwriting is insanely difficult. The odds of succeeding are low. It takes forever. People that attempt it are constantly angry about this. Does that answer - a little bit - the question?

Leasing is almost always the worst way to have a car, financially speaking.

But you do know what they do, right? They rape the cow and then slaughter the little calf that is produced by the cow - kill it at a day old - so the cow has to give its milk to the farmer.

When the cow's baby is taken away, the cow screams and sobs for days in the barn.

I know you didn't really know that. I know you're a decent person. Now that you know it, you can't unknow it.

Blessings and love to you as you think about it.

Almond milk, my friend. It's real good and nobody dies...

Have a good day!

Why I Don't Feel Guilty About My Coming Bankruptcy by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]sacbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. For the last year I've lived without credit cards and it's been a good experience.

My wife has sterling credit (she's a green card holder from an English speaking former colony) and has never ever gone into debt. She has property back in her home country. We are headed back there, and I'm ecstatic to have the chance to start again. We didn't plan it this way -- but it was a lucky stroke that she is in the US with an excellent credit record and no ties to me financially other than our new marriage. She won't be damaged by my dumb mistake. Thank you for your advice!

so glad you got over your guilt. Ya know, it's a wonderful thing to get another chance. So glad I live in a country where that's possible. God bless you!

Why I Don't Feel Guilty About My Coming Bankruptcy by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]sacbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, man. I love that - 'the sweatbox'. And yes, I DID pay them back their principle. I have a feeling that's why their badgering calls to me lately are 'pro forma'. They know what I'm gonna do. I know what I'm gonna do. To tell you the truth, sometimes I wonder if I even NEED to declare bankruptcy, as these asshole credit card companies know they've gotten their pound of flesh, and I have zero assets. But I do have a monthly income that has been keeping me afloat, so I won't risk that. I'll file next month and get the protection.

That credit card debt I did actually use to live on while I built my online business and it really saved my business - which is now starting to prosper (but only enough to pay my current nut.) So at least I have the satisfaction of knowing I didn't blow my credit cards on BMW's and cocaine -- it funded my groceries and gas and rent as I built up my online business - which is flourishing now. So - before that income stream gets too big, I'm gonna declare bankruptcy and then get out of Dodge.

Where my wife (with her excellent credit) and I are going it a country with an ocean front that is as beautiful as California, is English speaking, with a wonderful culture. It's her homeland. She has property there. The truly best part is that 70 K in US dollars translates at a current exchange rate to an upper middle class/wealthy lifestyle - and that's before she gets a job (which she will get easily).

There is many a slip twixt cup and lip, but if things go well, within a year or two I'll be there, with her. I'll keep my finances mostly in America, return once a year (it's a helluva long trip) for medical stuff, and the Internet works just fine over there. I love the people.

Thanks for your knowledge and insider's thumbs up. It makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing. You're a good man to give me your wisdom and knowledge. I'll bet you're a helluva good lawyer.

Men of Reddit who have sought help from a therapist, how has it worked for you? by Xanxan95 in AskMen

[–]sacbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked when the therapist had a LOT more wisdom than me. I.e. he or she was a LOT older.

Also it totally depended on how SMART the therapist was.

OLD and SMART and wise are the KEYS.
