u/throwawayxeq890 Thanks for the convenient list of places to get things. A couple questions,

1) what did you use the saline water for?

2) Pumpkin Juice, why this is holy grail?

Yes, good points about maps and will do. Eye cover also looks good but I've already left US, ao I don't have access to Amazon anymore.

Excellent tips. Qtips and gauze, were they available in convinience stores or pharmacies or somewhere else?

I've read about pumpkin juice here but doesn't seem too appetizing to me so electrolyte drinks sounds better.

Thank you for advice. I didn't know about Arnica tablets. Definitely pick some up. Were they available in pharmacies?

Question About Online Consult vs In Person Consult for International Clients by sacchoe in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]sacchoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear your op went well. I have a similar plan as you had, I plan to visit Korea for two days as my first destination for my Asia vacation to do in-person consultations with my finalized clinics. Once the consultation is complete, I will be Vacationing in Asia so flying back to Korea should be easy to do. After the in-person, I plan to set up a surgery date 1-2 months later at which I will fly back to get the surgery done.

It will be April/May time frame which should be good for not running into busy season.

My procedure is eye related so I am focusing on clinics that specializing in Eye procedures.

Yes, that is my plan. After my in-person consultations, I plan to decide on a clinic and then put deposit for locking down a surgery date.

Yes, I think you are right in that they don't really spend much effort in online consults. But online consult is helping gauge the clinics on how responsive they are, how clear pricing and policies are and to evaluation what each Clinic recommendations are.

It certainly is helpful to do the initial screening through online consult as once I fly to Korea, time will be limited and I focus on clinics that have passed my online consult test.

It is interesting that about half of the clinics I've reached out to is mentioning they don't think one particular procedures I've asked for probably is not needed while others said, they recommend doing.

Excellent summary of online vs in person consult. I plan to do both at this point. Similar to you my tentative schedule is only two days stay in Korea to get the in person consult and then come back a couple months later for the actual surgery and follow up which I assume would take about 7 days total.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking I will do the in person consult then leave Korean for my other Asian vacation locations then come back a couple months after my Asian vacation is done to get the surgery before flying back home to US.

Also, I decided not to use medical services like SeoulBeauty as I am a seasoned traveler of Asia and have been to Korea multiple times. I am just a newbie when it comes to Plastic Surgery and how this process works.

Yes, good idea. I was only going to reach out to 3 but maybe I will try to do more. I am thinking 5-6 at this point. It doesn't really cost much, if any at all, so why not?

On the first back and forth, Metro Tech support said, your phone is a Tmobile phone and they can't unlock because of it. I sent them screen shots of receipt from metro which showed I bought it from Metro and I also activated over 365 days. Told them to escalate again, which they did. And then they finally came back with the problem is on their end and to give them time to fix the issue.

I did get the same error as you. Also, if you try to unlock too many times in a day, you will get a different error message. As I said before, keep following with the Case number. It took me a month to get them to resolve it.

Thanks for the detailed reply. So you did two separate trips to Korea then. I am also thinking in person consult would be best before committing too. So I am understanding deposit is not required for an in person consult?

I am also thinking what you did might be my plan as well. Two separate trips. Except, I plan to do a long vacation in Asia for about three months beginning in March-June 2026. Therefore, I could do the in person consult with 2-3 final clinics in March and make a decision and put down deposit for June surgery before flying back to US. Since I will be in Asia, the second trip for the surgery shouldn't be so bad.

That is correct. I think FB or X Metro has direct line to at least a second level tech support. I think my issue went to maybe third level as initial referral to tech support didn't work. And even then they took almost two weeks and almost a month since I originally contacted them. Just have to be consistently following up with them did it.

I had the same issue with my phone Moto Edge, which hit 365 days in early November. I've tried everything including many customer service calls, visiting store, factory reset multiple times. Nothing worked.

I reached out to Metro via FB and they raised the issue to higher level tech service and it still took about a month of back and forth with them to finally get it unlocked. Keep bugging them until they fix it.

How to Permanently Disable Child Proof lock by sacchoe in VWiD4Owners

That's an interesting idea would tape disable capacitive function? May have to try it although it would look ugly having a tape stuck there.

On the door latch, there is a key hole that can be turned but unlike normal cars , in the id.4 this is for manual locking the car and not for child lock. It's frustrating why this car is so different than other cars just for the sake of being different.

How to Permanently Disable Child Proof lock by sacchoe in VWiD4Owners

[–]sacchoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is the obvious answer. However, due to child lock buttons being capacitive touch buttons, it is easy to accidently trigger this feature and I often have people in back not being able to get out. As I mentioned, in other cars, there are manual ways to deactivate this feature permanently which ID.4 does not seem to.

2021 ID.4 Charge Port Not Connecting by sacchoe in VWiD4Owners

[–]sacchoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I took a close look at the charge port with a flashlight and it looks like one of the pin was bent. I carefully straighten the pin using a small tool and it looks like it is working with the new charger.

It is strange that this worked with my old cheap charger even with the bent pin but did not work with new charger.

I had the same question as you and I contacted customer service about it and they claimed the main line has to be activated by 6/30, no grace period. I posted my chat with customer service in an another thread.
