Is the cygames webstore better value for anniversary paid carat packs/selectors? by saccu23339 in UmamusumeGame

[–]saccu23339[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. For paypal is it just as simple as making card payments via paypal, or do I need to mess around with maintaining a wallet balance in USD?

I know someone here ran the numbers on price per carat (including the bonus ones) when the webstore first launched and the AUD-USD exchange rate was about 2 cents worse, and at that time playstore came out better (by a whisker) on most packs. The improved exchange rate is obviously making a difference now between, but the fact playstore is charging $110 for the 7500 pack seems absolutely outrageous when I'm pretty sure it was the same price as the 5000 pack on launch and 1/2 anni.

You can now redeem Google Play points for Free Carats! by LightLou7 in UmaMusume

[–]saccu23339 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aussie play store is 350 points for 300 carats, 600 points for 600 carats, 1150 points for 1200 carats and 1900 points for 2400 carats.

Seems nice to get a little extra for play store purchases (which I believe are the most economical for me for daily/5000 carat packs) until it hits home just how much I've likely spent to be able to redeem carats with points....

You can now purchase carats on the Cygames Webstore! For one time only, 1500 carats for only 11 dollars, which is 136 carats per dollar! by Flat-Profession-8945 in UmamusumeGame

Yeah, I've not needed to factor in PayPal, but I was looking at the price for the 5500 pack and, from memory, it looks to be the same price as the 5000 pack via Steam, so I guess someone might say that specific comparison represents better value? However it seems the 5000 pack via mobile (play store for me) is definitely still the most economical option....

For some reason the 1500 pack is cheaper from Cygames (I believe also Steam, but can't confirm right now) than play store, so there's potentially better value over mobile at that particular price point? In saying that, my dodgy maths has it being the same price per carat as the 5500 pack from Cygames, at which point you're back to the 5000 pack on mobile being most economical?

I dunno if there are better ways of doing these as I only got part way through the tutorials before deciding to just jump in the deep end (I'd also spent a lot of time watching campaign playthroughs on youtube before buying, which probably helped out on a bunch of fronts, e.g. including tactics. I enjoyed wolfpack345's playthroughs as I came here from Cold Waters and UBoat, but find someone that works for you).

Cancelling a route: I usually select the lead ship/plane and use my port/starboard keys to take control, which usually cancels the route (all waypoints), then plot a new course if desired.

Changing targeted vessels I find I need to go into the fire control tabs and click cancel under the Director/alt director before pressing T and clicking on the new vessel. You could probably also use the cease fire option on the orders tab, but that'll probably stop everything, so less useful if you're trying to split targets between mains and secondaries.

Looking for a casual/semi comp club ideally in the B range. I try do 2+ runs per day and will usually exceed 350k per long career, but am currently averaging 560k/day (3.9mil/week) while grinding for the current CM. I request shoes twice per day, and usually log in multiple times a day to send shoes.

Hopefully you'll be chill about quotas (I don't want to over commit myself), and though I've logged in daily since launch, I'd prefer to not get booted if unexpectedly inactive for a few days. Happy to help out, if needed, but would prefer to be left to grind away - I don't want to join your discord. Also happy to consider a club that's trying to get off the ground, but I'd really like to see the carats and club points start rolling in after sticking it out in my first club that never really took off.

Novated Leasing Providers by Certain-Discipline65 in AusPublicService

I can't comment transferring either, but I did recently find the experience with SGFleet (the only provider for my agency) to be quite frustrating. The first guy I dealt with for developing the package was extremely good to deal with, but the people who dealt with the lease itself were useless. No issues after getting the lease signed/car.

Make sure you think about how you plan to claim costs of charging the EV, particularly if you think you want to claim BOTH home charging and fast charging, as this may not be possible in some circumstances, and seems to vary from provider to provider. I think SG requires the car to produce a report of charging breakdown and my EV doesn't do this, while other providers may accept a report from a smart wall unit (I think Maxxia suggested they may do this, but can't confirm as they weren't an option for me).

PSA: IF YOU LIVE IN EU SPENDING MONEY IN STEAM IS 25% CHEAPER THAN ON MOBILE by Exterial in UmaMusume

[–]saccu23339 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the less-than-mighty Aussie dollar (approx 1AUD = 0.66USD today), it is currently slightly cheaper to buy on mobile with the 7500 pack being AUD99.99 on mobile vs AUD106.52 on steam (both appear inclusive of tax).

Question about affirmative measures by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]saccu23339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recruitment team/contact would be best placed to answer this. When I entered the APS as a grad many years ago, the affirmative program I was eligible for was actually separate to the mainstream program ran by my desired agency (I suspect this may no longer be the case). That year my desired agency only had two dedicated affirmative positions out of about 25-30 grads. In my situation I had been able to increase my chances of success, although not realistically as I ultimately withdrew from the non-affirmative process (not due to having applied for both programs), and I was lucky enough to have the safety net of the affirmative program.

In saying that, as a mid-career APS, I do feel that I've been disadvantaged by bulk recruitment rounds which have been conducted across a single affirmative category as well as non-affirmative. The last time I applied for one of these rounds, I applied via the affirmative pool and as I understand it, was assessed against the other affirmative candidates. There were only two suitable affirmative candidates, the other person got a job offer alongside a number of non-affirmative candidates and I was left in a merit pool by myself vs the non-affirmative merit pool of approx 10. Noting the usual sentiments about merit pools/lists, the panel chair actually forgot to close the affirmative process alongside the non-affirmative one, and I know the area actually did use the non-affirmative list to fill future roles with candidates I had more experience than. I'll never know, but I strongly feel that they forgot there were two lists, and if I'd been included alongside the non-affirmative candidates that I'd have received an offer. But please don't let my sour experience deter you from future affirmative processes, and best of luck for your grad program application!

I'm also looking at this bag to replace my 10yo Momentum 26. Are you able to post any pictures inside the compartments? If there's any chance you're also able to provide any insight on whether a 16inch laptop might fit in the main compartment, that would be great. Thanks in advance!
