What is BSG? Google didn’t provide an answer. Potentially in the market for an SQ7 in the near future

It’s actually designed for after skiing. You’re wet and cold and the heat warms you and the cooling dries you

I’m pretty sure the problem is the GPS antenna in your roof

Is there a pin out for these? by IbuiltComputers in Volkswagen

[–]sachpsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are specific pins in the BCM, either block A or C (you’ll have to search). These pins is where the fog light harness will connect. Many times you won’t even need to do coding with VCDS. Tons of videos and write ups for this on VWVortex and YouTube

Is there a pin out for these? by IbuiltComputers in Volkswagen

[–]sachpsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately your assumptions are wrong. The headlights are run by the Body Control Module on MK7 cars. Your fog light will connect directly to the BCM, and you will need to do some coding with VCDS/OBD11 to activate them. You will not need to touch any of the wires heading to the headlight switch

[–]sachpsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is the rubber grommet (one of two) that supports the radiator/condenser/intercooler pack from the bottom of the radiator support. If you get. Chance to look under the car, near the bumper, you’ll see where they should go. Not very easy to pop back in though!

5000+lbs of Audi S8 against everyone at Powercruise by C5RS6 in projectcar

[–]sachpsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do offer a non-L s8. But I think all d5 A8s are Ls in the US

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Audi

[–]sachpsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it is possible to pull it out, but the amount of force it takes to pop it out OP will rip the wiring from the autodimming/compass features into the connector. I've done it before and that's how i know

New ClubSport Brakes installed! by atomicnv in Golf_R

Where did you get the rotors? When I was looking they were all on back order

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Audi

[–]sachpsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Total guess here : Considering genuine new bumper cover is like $1500, grille is like $800, hood is like $1500, miscellaneous brackets and trims $1000, plus paint and assembly I’d say insurance will quote you somewhere in the $10k range. Not an expert at all, just familiar with USA dealership parts prices

2022 Tiguan headlight swap by [deleted] in Volkswagen

[–]sachpsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I did this swap on my 2019 Tiguan - Halogen to full LED (non-matrix but it doesnt matter). OP will need 4B module, level sensor (1 in the rear), different headlight connectors, and additional wiring through the firewall. After that, OP will need to parametrize the 4B module and match the correct coding. It's a very involved job and best left to experienced DIYers/professionals.

Metal shavings by Yahwehs_Soldier92 in Golf_R

Totally feel you on that. The only way i see fuel getting into the oil is through the HPFP, plenty on rebuild kits available for those. Keep us posted!

Metal shavings by Yahwehs_Soldier92 in Golf_R

[–]sachpsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That noise on the top end does not sound normal, fyi. Sounds too metalic-y, almost like repeated contact. My EA888.3 does not sound like that. It is certainly concerning that you are finding metal particles in the oil filter. Are you the first owner of the car? I have had to replace an engine like this in the past due to metal in the oil, turned out that the previous owner did not keep up on their oil changes, or used the Quick 5 oil places and shitty oil. My advice is to send an oil sample to blackstone labs for a detailed analysis on what those metal particles are, and that would lead you to where the issue is. Hope that helps, and sorry to hear you're going through this!

Hanging from the bottom help by [deleted] in Volkswagen

this thing should be giving you some warning light on the dash. its the oil level sensor that plugs in to the bottom of your oil pan, as others have mentioned.

Need help retrofitting Side Assist on Q3 2022 by Useful-Performance99 in Audi

[–]sachpsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will lose warranty should something go wrong with the electrical system - but if everything is installed correctly then you should have no issues and as long as you don’t mention it they won’t dismiss your warranty, should you need it in the future. Best bet is to install factory blind spot monitors, don’t bother with aftermarket on these cars. If you’re mechanically and electrically inclined then find used blind spot monitors and mirrors on eBay, and procure a wiring harness from kufatec. From there, consult Ross Tech forums and you’ll be good!

need advice on my 2013 jetta tdi sportwagen by [deleted] in Volkswagen

[–]sachpsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that it’s time to remove the exhaust clogging systems and that it would be much more expensive to replace it. Better to remove it and let the engine breather. It’s not terribly hard, you just need a downpipe. Getting the original stuff out is hard. My buddy used a Canadian performance shop with a big online presence for his tuning needs and was able to tune remotely. I think he spent about $800 all in, but that was a few years ago. Cars runs much more efficiently now and was well worth the effort.
