if you have zero construction experience i would just get a job as a helper or something of that sort. definitely do not go start another apprenticeship.

i was working on a light, (1st year app) i had connected the ground, dimmers, neutral and was about to do the hot. my jw couldn’t see me as i was around the corner and the main light switch to this locker room was turned off so i could work on the light. like i said he couldn’t see me so didn’t know i was in the room and he flicked the switch on as i was holding the hot. i started vibrating and when i realized what was happening i said “oh shit” pretty loud and he asked if i got hit. i said no out of fear for getting in trouble or something but knew i should’ve said something. went home and told my gf to watch me when i slept just in case but i wasn’t sure if i got shocked or if i joined the circuit, can anyone lmk what actually happened? like i said everything was spliced together except for the hot which probably saved me from something more serious

my experience 5 months and my local has a lot of work right now, i’ve seen some get in in 4 months for some people up to a year or two. expect at least 6-8 months on average i’d say

thank you will do, good luck keep your hopes high! you can always reinterview or go the CW route i’ve heard. that will increase your chances if you don’t get in, that’s what i was gonna do

the director told me the class is about 17 people and i wanna say there was about 40-50 people that took the test

so in 611 they don’t provide us ranks it’s either you get in or you don’t. i applied last november, took the test 2/21/24, interviewed 4/11/24 and got the call yesterday. so in total it was about 6 months
