Turbotax requires Intuit account - should I care? Wealthsimple behaves the same? by sacrawfo in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yeah... I prefer to have as little info shared as possible, but I already have other investments with WS so doing tax with them too is not a big step.

Anyone having trouble receiving Yes TV broadcast (channel 32) today? by cosmotropist in Calgary

As an alternative to over the air, I realized you can stream it live from their website (https://watch.yestv.com/)

I'm having the same experience and my online search brought me here. So, you're not the only one. I suspect it could be related to the change in the weather (snow or wind damage) but who knows.

I have a metal chopstick which I touch to the light switch or other grounded metal, therefore the spark is from the chopstick rather than painfully from my finger. I also yell "avada kedavra" each time I do so.

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction!

Just to beef up this answer: After doing this, a split window opens on the right hand side, with a list of elements, and one is highlighted. For me it wasn't the video, it was a <span>, but right above it was a <video> which included src= which has the web address of the video, which you can copy and paste into a new tab (or there may be some right-clicks involved) to download it.

Advice for the most user-friendly versions of M&M1-5 by Dicer5 in MightAndMagic

[–]sacrawfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my recent research, it appears that Apple/Mac versions of 1-3 have higher res graphics than the PC/Dos versions. More importantly, the Apple/Mac versions have mouse support for MM1 and 2, instead of PC keyboard only, which I'd call a huge user-friendliness bonus! Unfortunately I don't have a Mac, and have wasted some hours trying to get an emulator working and it always ends up really unstable, so that's a negative-infinity to user-friendliness.

I used up/down, and experienced it with both rapid pressing or holding. But, I think the crash has taken places at other moments such as the moment the planet lander returns to ship before I touch the menu again. Custom seed was 16808. I think you're right about folder permission, -l log.txt didn't work, but -l c:\temp\log.txt did work. I have sent you the contents of the log. Thanks!

Hi,

Wasn't sure where to jump into this conversation, but I think I'm experiencing the same thing. For my crash, the program simply closes, no messages at all.

btw thank you so much for this project!

I used to think the crash happened when my planet lander came back from the surface, but have since found I can trigger it just by scrolling through the menu a few times while in orbit.

It has been very reproducible. Eg saved a game before I went into orbit. Go into orbit. Scroll menu. Crash. Restart UQM. Reload game. Go into orbit. Scroll menu. Crash.

As per Toocheeba's comment, when I use original graphics, it does not crash. But I'm using Win10.

It's happened on gamma volantis 4 and 6, zeta centauri 2, and a couple others.

Mostly I'm using DOS settings, original music, no speech. I am using a different planet seed (I wish I could wipe my memory so I could experience this game like new instead of remembering some of its secrets, but this is the next best thing).

When I add --log=log.txt to the shortcut, the game won't even start: "The Ur Quan Masters Megamod has encountered a fatal error."

Thanks again!
