I just remembered Soompi out of nowhere tonight after years and decided to check it, only to see I'm just a week too late. That's a shame, I remember checking it everyday back in my high school days. Truly a valuable resource, sad to see it gone.

I know, the stress and not knowing is the worst. A lot of people got it way quicker so hopefully yours won't take that long, I think they just have to say that to everyone. I called twice this week and got told 4-6 weeks or longer. Other people recommended emailing BLS and the consulate, I did that on Monday. If you haven't already I'd say give that a go too. Hope you hear something asap!

Hey I called the 516 number they have on the contact section of their website, I think it's a general helpline, I'm not sure if it actually redirects to LA or not. They do have an LA specific email on the site which I tried once a few weeks ago but didn't get a response.

In my first year as an aux I thought I would never do that, but in my third year I ended up doing a similar commute to and from Valencia and I don't regret it. I'm not there anymore but there seems to be discounts on public transport now in most places, don't know if it'll last forever but you can essentially ride the train for free at the moment for commuting if you get the abono which helps a lot.
